Beaches and Cream impossible to get?

HAve to say I find the food pretty average (only had burger but gonna try something else next trip)and we aren’t big ice cream eaters but we go every trip! Firstly we stay at bc so it’s convenient and I just really like the atmosphere. Caveat is we always do at least ten day trips and as we have the dining plan we just pay op.

As others have said it’s so hard because of the size, it really is small!

I remember being able to walk in here 20 years ago, get a burger and a sundae with no wait. Has the food changed significantly in the past 20 years to make it such a high-demand eatery?

I mean, it was good ice cream... decent burgers... but nothing earth-shattering...

I agree 100% nothing earth-shattering.. We are regular BC guests and I find it nothing that special. Sure it's cute and the food is good but nothing that will blow you away. Now I do agree the sundeas are really great! We loooove the no way Jose.... Peanut butter and chocolate.. The place is surprising tiny.. I think the max seating would be 4 or 5.. Just a few booths and tables...

As tip, they do have a walk up and tables outside that are not reserved. But you cannot order food to go. Here you can get most of their sundeas.. Believe the kitchen sink is a no-go though. I do know you can get the no way jose to go.... My recommendation too, is that their sundeas are HUGE... so to save money and your stomach at least 2 can share one of these.. My kids and I split the one... I believe the no way jose is at least 3 scoops, might be four.. So we each pick one flavor and share.

the food is basic burgers and sandwiches. .... To be honest Five guys much better. You can also eat at Hurricane Hannahs.. just across the pool, but as non- BC guests you need to walk around or maybe they let you in the gates if they are nice.

Like others have suggested keep trying. I was able to find an ADR this last Friday for July 25th in the afternoon. Be flexible for a time and day and hopefully you can find one. Wasn’t my first choice but it is one of our no park days so it works fine.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. I'm not sure I see the attraction to this place. Small, very noisy, and the food is just ok. To be clear, we're two somewhat senior types. We love to hit the to go window for the good ice cream...but while waiting in the to go line for said ice cream, I say it every time...why do people flock here? Ok...so start throwing arrows at me...:):):).
I completely agree

what are the odds of walking up and getting a seat (a wait is fine.)?

Usually it's an hour and a half to 2 hours or so. We're usually at SAB during the day so we just get on the list an hour or so before we know we want to get in and it's been fine. I never bother with ADRs for B&C.

I used the touring plans reservation finder this past week to get a lunch reservation for my upcoming June trip. My plans are pretty open for the trip so my search parameters where pretty vague. Basically put in dates and instead of a time I put Lunch. Had a second search going for Dinner as the time.

We booked 8 days out in April and were able to get a 5:20pm reservation on the day we wanted just checking a couple of times a day. Initially nothing was available, then less appealing times (one of which I grabbed), then a couple of days out the 5:20 time popped up. Day of, I glanced (we were hot and tired and I wanted to see if I could move up the time) and there were a couple of same day mid-afternoon times available (we did not end up taking them). I think if you keep trying, you'll be able to get one.

As mentioned, the fact that there are maybe 8-10 tables in the place makes it difficult to get an ADR. The place has also gained popularity with the notoriety of their famous Kitchen Sink sundae. If you can't get an ADR, you can always try your luck as a walk-up. IMO, the best time to go is around 11am right when they open. If they can't seat you at a table, you may be able to get seats at the counter which is always first come first served. Last trip last August, we ate here for lunch around 11:30 and almost all of the counter seats were empty the whole time. Whatever you do, avoid it around Epcot closing. Its usually busy at that time.

As for the appeal of the place, for us we like the basic fare and find it good. The sundaes are huge and unique. We like the bright diner type theme of the place. It's a nice reprieve from Epcot/Hollywood Studios. And it's inexpensive when paying OOP. Many other people like it solely for the Kitchen Sink. Just a novelty.

I would agree with both you and the others who say it is cute. However, this was the worst service experience we received on our latest trip. And I would not recommend it. The pick up window works just fine

Just keep checking...
We are APs (2 adults and 2 kids) and my son decided that he wanted to eat there next week for his bday. Yesterday I was able to get a 3:45 late lunch reservation for the day we will be there. The key is to check often and if you have a couple of days that may work for you, even better chances of getting in.
We have never made reservations 180 days out... seriously- never. We usually plan our trips within a week bc we are at Disney so often and have gotten reservations everywhere. Cinderellas Royal Table even had a dinner reservation open up for next week when I was checking for B&C. Fingers crossed for you to get the reservation you want!
