Hi all,

If I just want a quick sundae after a full meal at the ESPN club, should I still make an ADR? Or should I only really make one if I plan to actually eat there from the main menu?

I was just unsure and didn't want to take up a ADR slot if somebody else could have it! Thanks :)

Personally, I wouldn't risk the no-show fee to make an ADR for ice-cream. They have a take-out window, if you just wanted a sundae, or try for a walk-up. Unless you are desperate to eat in and plan to go at a peak time, you might get lucky.

By the way, if you are just looking for ice-cream after your ESPN meal, I can highly recommend the make your own sundaes at The Fountain (over at the Dolphin resort). Absolutely delicious. And their Peppermint Patty shake is pretty awesome too :thumbsup2

If you definitely want to eat in there make the ADR. We stayed at this resort and pre ADRs people were queuing all day to eat there.

We have never waited more than 5 minutes for a table there (if that long) and we have eaten there several times. I just don't see the point of risking the no-show charge for a dessert only. Quite often, we'll have dinner and decide we're too full for dessert. It would be a complete waste of the $20 she would be charged, for the sake of not wanting to wait a few minutes for a table or get take out.

It would be totally different if they wanted to have a full meal there, in my opinion.

If your definitely going to go I d definitely book! We were staying on resort in feb this year (so fairly quiet time of year) and had two adrs. Given its size it can fill up really quickly. Once at peak eating time it was really really busy but next time we went 5pm so was quiet.

We have booked and for around 2.30 ish, and we are only going for ice cream. We have meant to go on our last two trips, and we never got there, for various reasons, we didn't want to have to Q or find that once we got there we couldn't get in.

^^^ Yup, I've never gotten a table. In fact, we've waited up to 30 minutes just in the take out line.

Thanks for all your help and opinions everyone - I will keep thinking about it :)
