We will be flying from the UK and as we are staying for 2 weeks we are bringing a lot of stuff - which equals back breakingly heavy suitcases!!!

I'm sure i read on here that the disney hotels have towels that you can use by the pools - is this true??? It would make our suitcases considerably lighter to be able to remove our thick beach towels!! Plus more room for souveniers! :thumbsup2

If this is true...would we be able to take the hotel's towels to the water parks or do the water parks have their own towels too?

Thanks xx

We fly from the UK too. Never bring towels, take poolside towels to the waterparks, then you can leave them there in the 'bins', so no bringing back wet towels!

Everywhere has there own towels for guests to use. You don't need to bring yours :) You could always buy one at DTD if you felt that you needed to. Have a great trip!

Yes, it is nice to not have to pack those bulky towels. They really do take up a lot of room.

It depends on where you're staying whether they will have poolside towels available. If you are staying in a value, you'll have to take towels from your room and they are cheap and thin ~ not the type of towel I'd want to take to a water park.

I can only speak for POR, but they only keep towels by the main pool. The quiet pools do not have towels. When we check in, we always grab a bunch of pool towels from the main pool to use when we go to the quiet pool. I can't understand why they don't keep them at both. The whole reason we use the quiet pool is because it is close to our room and we just want to go in for a quick dip. If we had to walk all the way to the main pool to get towels, we might as well swim there!

Not sure what the other resorts are like.

Thanks for your replies - I'm so happy, 4 thick beach towels were taking up about half a suitcase! Also they would have been a pain to get dry each day.

Such luxury, staying at a resort where they provide pool towels - I've not had that on holiday before. Thank goodness for these forums otherwise I would never have known :goodvibes

Now, if anyone else can think of any other essential items that I don't need to bring, I would be grateful to know xx

If you are renting DVC points, I don't believe extra towels are included.

What resort are you staying at?

Why are you bringing so much stuff? There is a laundry available at your resort next to the pool so you can bring less and wash it a couple of times.

Lugging lots of luggage is never fun.

Erm...well I'm not exactly the sort of person who ever travels light! Off the top of my head I'll definitely be bringing - lots of outfits and shoes for daytime and evening, pack away mac, hair straighteners, make up, toiletries.

Plus all of this except hair straighteners and make up for the other 3 members of my family!

I wouldn't enjoy my holiday if I left any of this at home, I like having lots of outfit changes and wouldn't want to buy stuff there. Yes I will be doing some laundry but probably just underwear mainly.
