Beach Near Kennedy Space Center?

We're hitting KSC one day of our trip, and hope to spend an hour at a beach, just enjoying the seashore. It doesn't have to be fancy, just a public beach where we can park our car and wade in the surf.

The closest to KSC is Cocoa Beach. It's nice!

Jetty Park Beach (just south of Port Canaveral and you can watch ships go out if timing is right) then on south to Cocoa Beach.

Not sure when you are going but be aware many beaches in Central Florida had significant damage from the Hurricane and may be closed in spots.

Another vote for Jetty Beach Park. It does have a small fee to enter but it was nice. We liked the walk way out on the jetty.
