Beach Hoppin' With the Wigdout Gang! A super speedy trip report.

I agree on the name associations. I have a Christopher, I liked the name from a childhood friend who just had qualities I would want in my child.

If you around enough kids, sometimes the associations cancel each other out. Unless you get a special one, like Alyssa ;)

My 13 yo daughter is Alyssa and I think she is pretty special! :lovestruc

Although for a boy I always like the name Gunner - so that is my vote!! Of course being 100% Italian I really wanted to name a boy either Salvatore or Carmine - but only got girls! :lmao:

Jack!! Jiminy!!!! Omg, Brer Fox!!! Splash is my 2nd fav attraction at WDW and I want to get a picture with all three Brer Fox, Brer Bear, and Brer Rabbit but I have never even seen Brer Rabbit out :(

Me neither! I think Brer Rabbit does greets in AK somewhere.

I have had some staff members named Alyssa that have redeemed the name.;)

I had a hard time trying to find the one that just hearing the name sent a shiver. But I think by now I have had always had another child by the same name that has redeemed it somewhat.

I still know every Christopher on the first day. Not necessarily a bad kid, I just have to keep calling his name. :rolleyes1

Awesome character meets! Next trip I am going to make it more of a priority to have more character meets!

Okay, I think I am finally caught up!! I go away for the weekend and get waaaay behind. I think it is funny that you saw a celebrity. When we were at the GF in May, Rebecca Lobo was staying there and was at the pool with her kids. She was a WNBA player and a sportscaster now. My husband cannot stand her because she played for UConn so he was not impressed :lmao:
I know what everyone means about word association when naming your children. The hardest part about having my boys was finding a name because my husband is a teacher and every name I liked had some bad student associated with it.
love all the pics of characters. I wish we were that lucky!!

Wow, you saw a great mix of characters. Like everyone else, I want to know where you found Capt. Jack Sparrow doing a meet and greet?

Being a teacher, I hear you on the name association thing. When I was pg with the girls (before we knew they were girls), DH and I could never agree on a boy's name. He wanted Chad, and EVERY Chad I have ever had in class was a booger! No way was I going to use that name.

It looks like the area over by the International Gateway, or Anita's private entrance as some call it :). That's the bridge going into France behind them.

I saw on FB that you found Scales! :yay: Amazing! He looks no worse for the wear. Wonder if he had a good time exploring your backyard?!

And how are you progressing on packing for the next trip? Do you leave next week? :worship:

Speaking of packing - any tips on a standard Owner's Locker packing list?

Sorry we've been MIA, we're being held captive at a teaching workshop on Smartboards for another hour a half....
Thank goodness for the internet!

I'm really behind on your TR, I'm going to have to go back to the beginning and get caught up! But I loved the character pictures, I've never seen Jiminy out in the parks ever! I'd love to meet him! :cool1:

So happy that you found Scales! :)

Wow! You got to see a lot of characters on this trip! And rare ones too! So exciting! I also have to know where you saw Cap'n Jack!!

Love Baylor's shirt!

The next day was Animal Kingdom! Wigd found someone with the same name....but not Wigd....lol
