Beach day: Siesta Key or Daytona or ??

Thanks everyone! Sounds like Siesta Key is the place to be. Forgive my ignorance, but what are the odds that the water will be warm enough to swim? (We're Canadian, so it doesn't have to be like bathwater...just warm enough that the kids' lips won't turn blue!)

I have pictures of my kids in the water at Clearwater Beach over Presidents Day weekend/end of Feb, and Siesta Key is further south so maybe a bit warmer. Its not "warm" but its definitely warm enough if you are used to cold weather. The Atlantic beaches will be way too cold in Feb. Just make sure you pick the warmest day of your trip to go.

We've been to Daytona a few times only bc it's closer. Would love to try SK this July. Thanks for posting time and directions
