Has anyone here stayed in an accessible room at the Beach Club Resort?

We are booked for Dec 12-19 for a standard view accessible room with a roll in shower. We're renting a hospital bed and asked for a roll away bed as well. I was told they will be removing one of the queens. With the rollaway the room will still sleep the same number.

My question: Are these rooms in any particular area or are they scattered throughout the resort? Is there anyway to find out how many there are?

I guess I'm just trying to get an idea.

Also, is there any kind of wheelchair access for the pool? (At the retirement community where I used to work we had a ramp leading into the pool and a wheelchair we used just to take people into the pool.) We are renting a rolling shower/commode chair, I wonder if we could use that?

We are BCV owners, and to be honest, I do not think SAB is a zero entry pool. The Animal Kingdom pool is though, maybe some others.

Thanks! I'm not even sure Jack will want to go in, but he hasn't been swimming since his stroke 5 years ago. I'm just researching options and didn't want to mention it to him until I find out.

The accessible rooms are scattered.
I don't know if there are any pictures in the sticky thread at the top of this board that has room measurements.

The kind of pool you mentioned with the ramp that leads into it is called a zero entry pool. Some people may say that the pool at Beach Club has a zero entry, but it actually only has a zero entry entry into a kids sandy play area.
The bottom of the pool has a sand floor, which may make it more difficult for you to handle him in the water because the bottom is a bit unstable.
The access to get into the pool is via what is called a 'transfer tier'. Some people call them 'bump steps' because you basically park the wheelchair next to the steps, transfer to the top step and then bump down from step to step.
Here are 2 pictures that show the steps at the spa at Beach Club villas.

The quiet pool at the Beach Club Villas and SAB (the feature pool for Yacht and Beach Club) both have bump steps, here's a picture of the one at SAB.
