Beach Club vs Swan - need help!

I'll be attending a conference at the Dolphin and have reservations at the Swan. My husband and kids will be coming along and probably hanging out by the pool a lot while I'm in meetings. I just found out that I can get a Beach Club standard room for about $400 more total over a 5 day stay, but have never stayed at the resort before. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better overall? The Dolphin has both a resort fee and a parking fee, right?

Beach Club is my overall favorite resort! The pool is fantastic so that would be perfect for your DH and kids.

Yes, the Swan has a resort fee and a parking fee. Plus you cannot use Disney's Magical Express to get to the resort. You can't charge back to your room, get the dining plan, and if you want magicbands you will have to pay for them.

I just stayed at the Yacht Club for a conference, followed by a stay at the Swan. While the Swan room was definitely nicer, I overall enjoyed the feel of the Yacht Club more. The pool at the Beach Club is also fabulous, and with the added perk of being able to use ME, I think I would do that. It's worth a bit extra in my opinion, and with transportation and the resort fees it won't *totally* even itself out, but it will a little bit. It's a pretty quick walk over to the Dolphin for your conference too.

I can only say that we've always loved Beach/Yacht Club. Never stayed at Swolphin but have walked around there a bit. You can't beat Storm Along Bay, the Beach Club's pool.

Go for BC! Your family will love the pool while you are at your conference.

It's not that far of a walk for you, enjoy!

Thanks everyone! I switched and it'll only end up costing about $130 more after parking/resort fees! Super excited now.
