Beach club vs Beach Club Villas

Are the Beach Club Villas as nice as the regular Beach Club rooms? If you book through Disney, are there any differences in service (cleaning, etc.)?

I have owned BCV for 15+ years. No way are the BCV rooms nearly as nice as the BC rooms. Unless I was going to be staying in a one or two bedroom villa, there's no way I'd pay cash to stay at BCV rather than at BC.

If you pay cash for a villa, you get the same housekeeping schedule that you would get at the hotel.

This is just my opinion and I've only seen a studio when my friend was staying at BCV, and we had a room at BC.
I wouldn't want to stay in a studio with over 2 or have to use pull out sofa. And I didn't think it was as nice as our BC room, which was refurbished a few years ago, but BCV aren't refurbished as often. But the extras of having a toaster & microwave in the room may make a difference to you.

If you rent thru Disney you get daily housekeeping services, yes. If you rent privately you get trash & towel service every 4th day, and a full clean every 8th ? Day.

I agree that the regular BC room is much nicer than the BCV studio. I would always take the BC room over the studio if I needed just one room. The exception would be if I could get a good rate for the studio, then I would take that.

But I would take a 1 bedroom villa over a regular BC room any day. I love the one bedroom villas. :)

We've never stayed in one, but we did look at a BCV studio on one of our trips and I didn't like it at all. I agree that a regular BC room is much nicer than a BCV studio.

I own at the BCV and I love it there, so it probably skews my opinion. I understand those who think the studios aren't as nice as the refurbed BC rooms. But I like the "theme" of the BCV. The decor at the BC is more upscale hotel, the "theme" of the Villas is a beach house in a by gone era. I also like the extra floor space the sofa results in and I like having the sofa to sit on.
If is was just DH and I, I would choose the studio over the BC room. I like the kitchenette. And I can stay in an "upscale hotel room" anywhere (and I do). I can only stay at the BCV at WDW.
However, if we were more than 2, I would choose the BC room

Thanks for the info. It will just be my husband and I. We've stayed at the Beach Club several times and it's our favorite Disney hotel. With the Spring discount the studio is $250.00 cheaper than BC water view (only thing available) and I can't decide which one to pick!

Don't pick the studio. It really won't feel as special.

That being said, we've stayed in 1 and 2 bedroom villas and the space they offer can't be beat!

I would never choose a studio over a regular room.

Decor is very different, views are better in resort rooms.
