My wife and I decided to splurge on our next trip. We decided on Beach Club. When I went to do a reservation change on our current plan, Beach Club Villas came up as an option. It was cheaper than BC. What is the difference? We are not DVC members so would we get use of any of the amenities? Thanks for any help.

I think you would just get the room type. The only extras a DVC member would get, I think, is free parking, but you wouldn’t qualify for that with a cash reservation.

Guests at BCV have access to the same amenities in terms of swimming pools (the leisure pool at BCV as well as Stormalong Bay), transportation, etc. that BC guests have. The only real difference is in the accommodations themselves - a Deluxe Studio at BCV will have a queen bed, foldout couch (I never can remember whether double or queen), bunk-size Murphy bed, and kitchenette with microwave, a real drip coffeepot and a toaster (in addition to the fridge the hotel rooms have). One advantage that BCV has is that it's a tiny bit closer to the Skyliner and Epcot than the rest of BC is.

Studios have a queen bed and a pull out couch. BC rooms have two beds.

BCV studios have a pull-down bed (smaller than twin size) as well as queen size bed and sleeper sofa. Pull down bed was added at last refurb.

Man. All over the place people. Let’s pull this together. 😂.
So you should look at the room layouts, location of the rooms, and the amenities. Easy to Google, not much difference. In fact there are tours of the rooms on YouTube. We stay at both often. We like the hotel better.

The Beach Club Villas are not in the same building as the Beach Club rooms. BCV rooms, on average, are a slightly farther walk to the lobby & Epcot. BCV rooms are closer to the parking lot.

Beach Club rooms have 2 queen beds. BCV rooms have a queen bed, a pull-out sofa bed, and a small murphy bed. BCV also has a very small kitchenette with small frig, small sink, microwave, and coffee maker.

If it's just the two of you, then I suggest BCV. It's nice having a sofa to sit on together.

Some Beach Club 2 queen rooms also have a fold out single bed for a fifth, and their king bed rooms have a sofa.

For a couple, I would recommend the BCV studio over the standard room at BC. We love the location of the villas - super close to the EP path, lobby, QS and resort bus stop. There is also a quiet pool right next to the villa building. I find the villas to be quieter than the BC resort building. The BC resort building can also be a bit of a maze, IMHO. With the studio you will also get a microwave, small fridge and full-size coffee pot. And you will save some money, too which is a big bonus!

I am appreciative of the insight so many have to offer to those of us who are newer to the forum and trying new resorts. My daughter is getting married and we plan to join the immediate family at Beach Club Villas two bedroom cash reservation. I am assuming that means it will be a dedicated two bedroom as indicated on the wdw website. Because of the shape and differences in balconies, I was hoping others may know the two bedroom dedicated villas that have the extended balcony across all three rooms (living, master, 2nd room). I am sure many with a larger family make these requests, but I would love to try so that we can all be out on the balcony if we wish. There would be 6 total adults. Any insights? If you have stayed or know of this room and balcony location, and perhaps remember the room number I would be most grateful. Thank you.

We stayed in a one bedroom at BCV that only had a balcony off the living room, none off the master bedroom.

Do you happen to remember which one? Almost as bad as the year we got one that, although it had 2 separate balconies-one of the living room and one off the bedroom, each balcony was too small for more than one person and a chair. DH and I couldn't share a balcony. I don't remember the room #, but it was in the "jog", woods view, on the 3rd floor.

My suggestion for best chance at extended full balcony is request 2nd floor.
We did end up requesting second floor and we were granted it with extended balcony. So grateful for the advice. It was wonderful to say the least. My husband and I are considering a One Bedroom stay At The Beach Blub Villas but also interested in the Poly. Any thoughts on the two? Thanks again.

The BC 1BR will have a King Bed, jacuzzi, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and sleep sofa.

The Poly has no 1BR villas. Mostly Studios and several Bungalows on the lake.
