Beach Club Villas getting new linens (updated)

We are here now and just got a voicemail that they are replacing the bed linens and towels with "higher-thread-count" linens tomorrow.

If you have the opportunity, please report back as to whether the new sheets leave part of the mattress exposed like the old ones did.

Aren't laundry services handled from a central facility for all Disney resorts? I'm sure things like comforters and drapes are unique to each resort, but I never noticed any differences in quality of bath towels, pool towels or bedsheets from one resort to the next.

I've read of a central facility too but that doesn't preclude separating by resorts. Reportedly the Polynesian recently upgraded their linens too. Perhaps all DVC and deluxe resorts will eventually do this. I do remember years ago the Polynesian had wonderful linens...so very cool to slip into after a long day having fun. They were tan/sandy colored. And pool towels used to be color specific to the various resorts at which we stayed.

Towel size also varies I think.

Obviously the bed sizes vary by resort as well. The Polynesian has queens and daybeds but no doubles for example.

I couldn't really tell the difference in the sheets... I guess they were better.

The real difference is the towels. Much nicer now. They are softer and they are definitely bigger (by probably 6 inches).

Perhaps the sheets will only be changed as each villa turns over? Or were yours changed while you were there?

Could be that they were not changed out. We weren't there when they did it.

Do the sheets fit now???

They previously were not long enough to go to the end of the bed, let alone wrap around the end and tuck in. It leaves your feet on the mattress pad.

I hate most hotel towels, just who do they suppose those things actually cover anyway Keira Knightly? I use bath sheets at home and my stays away from home are always a rude awakening, those towels are suitable for my hair and that's about it.

NO!!!!!!!

I just got back from a weekend stay at the BCVs and I don't think the sheets. if they were new, were good at all! In fact, I made a note to bring my own queen and King fitted sheets next time and leave them in my Owner's Locker! The sheet on our queen bed this weekend was one of the WORST fitting sheets we ever experienced!

We were there last week and they changed our sheets and towels to the new ones during the stay. We could tell a big difference with both of them. We thought the new sheets were much softer and the towels were a bit larger.
