Beach Club Villas - Getting Nervous by Reviews, Do we Stay or Change?

Hi all,

We have a 1 bedroom booked for Beach Club Villa's coming up in mid May. I have recently been reading trip reports and reviews and now I am starting to get nervous about the possible condition of the room.

The common theme that I keep hearing/reading is that the state of the rooms are run down, not well maintained and just plain not in very good condition. It's making me anxious that we will be disappointed when we get there. I am not sure if I am just over reacting or if there is validity in these recent reviews.

Can anyone who has been there recently shed some light on the condition and if its as bad as people say. We have the possibility of switching to the Boardwalk Villa's for the same cost, so that is an option if that would result in a better room condition experience.

Have you listened to the most recent run of 7in7 podcasts that the DIS team did in February?
I would suggest going and listening to the one on BC/BCV and BWI/BWV and see what the team have to say about them.
They're very objective and honest, so I think you'll get a lot out of them

We just stayed in a 2-bedroom at BCV from April 10 - April 17. It was lovely! We were on the first floor with a woods view. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the room. They are in the process of rehabbing all of the BCV rooms. While we were there, we saw construction workers rolling new furniture, carpet, etc. toward the back area of the resort. Perhaps you will get a newly renovated room? We've stayed at BWV as well. Both are great! We just really loved BCV for the location!
