We have a trip starting July 6. Right now, I'm booked at Polynesian. How bad is the refurbishing? Will the monorail be open by July? I love this resort!
I am waitlisted for Beach Club. We have. never stayed here. Are they even open yet? I read May 30. Does that mean they are not accepting reservations for after May or are they just booked already?
Should I stay at Poly or pray for Beach Club??
We are a family of 6 with teens and young adults. No babies anymore!!

Beach Club Villas have been open since WDW reopened DVC resorts last summer. The resort / inn side is opening May 30.

We stayed at Poly in early March and the construction is fine. The refurb is going on on the resort side, not the DVC side. We enjoyed our time there.

Are you asking about Beach Club (the hotel) or Beach Club Villas (the DVC side)? BCV has been open since Disney World reopened. BC is slated to reopen on May 30th.

The TTC monorail station is closer to most of the DVC villas than the main Poly station, anyway.

I would stay at the Poly unless you think you really need to experience the pool at Beach Club.

We had a stay during the last week of April in a studio at BCV. The poor room seemed so sad and in need of a refurb. We primarily wanted to spend a day at the best pool on property for our kiddos and were excited to get a hot ticket studio reservation. So in that case it was worth it but we will probably not go back there soon.
