Beach Club Villa - Studio?

I just booked a Beach Club Villa studio room. I got this room using my AAA discount. I do not belong to DVC. I was wondering about the quality of these rooms. I have always wanted to stay at the Beach Club, because of the pool area,and it's proximity to Epcot. I am looking for feedback. Thanks.

We stayed in a BCV studio last fall. Plenty close to epcot. Rooms are fine.

whose "home" is BCV, YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! SAB is absolutely awesome! Even though the biggest draw seems to be the shipwreck slide, my kids seem to love the sandbar area. DS4 spends hours just building sand walls and floating his boats all over. And, then, of course, there is Raouff, the children's activities director. Sand soccer and tons of fun with him.

We just love the proximity to Epcot and MGM. There is nothing better than walking through the International Gateway to World Showcase, or being able to watch Illuminations from the bridge (just don't get run over by a runaway surrey bike).

As far as the villas are concerned, even if you only use the kitchenette to make toast or popcorn it is well worth it.

Can't wait to be "home" again June 1-10.

In the past, I've stayed at the BC and then in a BCV studio last year and we've always enjoyed it! Is it just you and one other? It's a little cramped for more than two people.

Oh, and you will do much better money-wise if you rent points from a DVC member. We paid $120/night last year and will again this year (Sunday-Thursday). The price goes up signigicantly on weekends, but you can't BEAT $120/night for a studio. PM if you have any questions on renting or visit the Rent/Trade board over on the DVC boards.

Quality is great. There is a little bit of a walk to the main pool and lobby. I think the EPCOT entrance is about the same distance as much of the pool.

Renting points might save you some money, I've done it BUT:

1) You probably won't save much for weekend stays,
2) You'll lose daily maid service, if you pay for the maid service you'll lose a lot of your savings
3) Payment terms and cancellation policies are stricter than if you reserve directly with Disney.
