Beach Club Villa Rofr

Disney is buying BCV back all the time............they can resell it to their members because they know precisely the demand and they have use yr points to add to those stripped deals to make them worth 89 a point.............

bongo59 -- I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the insight provided regarding DVC purchases...I'm sure it's been very helpful to quite a few people. Just make sure your relative never quits!!! (LOL)

not likely........she has been there from the beginning and she told me to buy it from the outset.............DVC has evolved but it is the best way to do WDW for any family really. The reason most dont buy is because they can sse them selves going back every yr..........and after 20 yrs they realize hey we have gone back every yr ...........then the DVC light goes on

Question....

What does DVC do now with this (stripped) contract, Kansas, Bongo??

There are NO pts. for 05 ..

When they sell these for add on's... are they full point values ..i.e. 05??

:confused3 :confused3

As I read these posts, I count myself very lucky. After closing on my new house, I had some money left. So last Nov, on my first try at resale to add to my existing 180 points at BCV, after only 3 weeks of looking on the Timeshare Store website, I found BCV with my use year, 150 points at $75 per, banked points from '03 and full points for '04 and '05, I managed to pass ROFR. I almost feel guilty posting this.

chop003 - don't feel bad posting your success - if anything it is a good reminder that ROFR in unpredictable and there is hope for all of us add-on wanna be's out there.

Tug has a couple of small contracts for BW and BCV (4 of these) posted yesterday. Just FYI... :flower:

We've started the paperwork going for 160 BWV pts, at $80 pp.

I was uncertain about spending that much, but the agent told me that Disney was snapping up a lot of the resales in the $75-78 range. And this package comes with a full bank of 160 2004 points ... so it seemed too good to resist. :sunny: The extra couple bucks a point won't make THAT much of a difference, imho.

BCV has been the hot ticket for some now but what about all the problems that DVCers were reporting few months back :rolleyes1 Is it safe to go back to BCV? :earboy2:

Another newbie question: when an ad says for example, August use year, 2005 points are all gone, that means the 2006 points come on line in August 2005?

BCV does seem to be the hot ticket...there's a negative review over on allears.net from a recent DVC member stay, although obviously it has to be remembered that YMMV.

On edit: actually there is only one negative review in a sea of glowing BCV reviews :)

Nope...it means your first points will come Aug of 2006!! Sorry to bring you the "bad news".

Thanks Beca...oh well it was an ad on Tug that was more points than I want anyway. I hope I don't have to buy a completely stripped contract :guilty:

Disney could buy BCV contracts back at $95/pt and make money on them through the 10% interest rate financing. As long as members are financing, there's money to be made.
