We'll be there for Christmas Eve and the week after, but have never stayed there before (everywhere but...) I've read several reviews and trip reports, but I'm wondering if anybody that has stayed there recently has any short good or bad comments about it. I know about the short walk to Epcot, and I know about SAB, and all the standard write-ups, but I want to know specifics of anything unusually good or bad.

Not much of a view from your room if that matters to you.

There is nothing spectacular about the room, pretty much a standard room. However, I would definitely suggest going to Beaches and Cream. I always make it a point to go there on our trips. Not that it will most likely be warm enough to swim then, but the Beach Club does have one of the best pools in Disney, with the sand bottom. Also, the boats are convenient to use if you are going to Epcot or Disney Studios, or its a hop skip and jump to walk over to the back entrance of Ecpot.

I would request a woods view or the quiet pool view. Personnally I like the woods. The walk to Epcot is wonderful the walk around the resort is peacefully and love being acroos from the boardwalk. If you have any further questions just ask we stay there all the time. Matter of fact going in 14 days, than again in Feb.

We enjoy the fresh made salad that they make in the Marketplace.

The Christmas decoration in the BC lobby has traditionally been a carousel made from Gingerbread and the horses made of chocolate. There are hidden Mickeys and it's just gorgeous. The lobby of the BCV is also nicely decorated.

DH and I really enjoy the buffet at the Cape May Cafe. We enjoy the Breakfast with the characters and the seafood buffet for dinner. I can't think of one thing that I don't like about BCV!

PS. We had a first floor woods view last week, and I enjoy watching the little lizards and the bunnies and birds!

2 years ago on Christmas Eve, Santa and Mickey & Minnie greeted in the lobby. And they had a barbershop quartet singing that was fantastic. The kids also decorated gingerbread pieces in the lobby. And the decorations are wonderful!

I LOVE to get the a yogurt parfait from the Marketplace for breakfast. The granola they put on top is soooo delicious. I'll be having one in less than 3 weeks! :goodvibes

The 3rd floor has little balconies. That's the only downside I can think of. LOVE BCV!!

We are at the BCV from 12/17 to 12/24 and cannot wait! We always ask for a view of the Dunes Cove Pool and not on the first floor (don't want any critters visiting). We love being able to walk to Epcot and of course SAB. The walks around the Boardwalk are great and in December it is cool enough to do. We just love the whole beach theme.

I've had the back view. To me - it's just okay. We were high and could see parts of Epcot and the high Iluminations. But it didn't turn my crank.

However, I got my parents in this year and I ADORED their view. They sat directly over the canal beside the quiet pool. The parking lot is to the right - but did not distract from their view.

I find BCV relaxing. And adore the enclosed sitting area across from the marketplace - looking onto the courtyard. Love it there.

I love all the quaint public rooms there. And the view from the SAB slide. You should go up even if you're not going down.

One negative - for some reason the building inside feels drab to me - like it has no energy. I don't know why. I feel the same about the one bedrooms but not about the studios. Strange but true.

But pluses far outweigh that feeling.
