Beach club transportation.

It is my understanding that BCV share the buses with Th Yacht Club. I have seen reports that the buses were already full when reaching BCV. Does anyone know if it would be easier to walk to BWV and catch a bus to MK and AK? TIA

Right now? Probably not. Buses are running at limited capacity. I expect when YC reopens YC and BCV will each get their own bus to manage that.

Ok thanks! I hope that will be the case. YC will be open while we are there so just trying to think ahead. This will be our first stay at BCV.

Pre-COVID, buses were shares by YC,BC and BCV. They picked up at YC first and sometimes were full before they got to BC. So people staying at BC and BCV sometimes contemplated walking to YC to pick up the bus there. As far as I know, nobody ever contemplated walking to Boardwalk to pick up the bus.

Currently YC and BC are closed to the public so the only people getting on the bus are those staying at BCV.

note that BCV does not have its own bus stop. BC and BCV share a bus stop

The walk to the Boardwalk bus stop from the Beach Club is a bit of a hike and can be exhausting in the heat.

Pre-Covid, BWV did not always have a dedicated bus either. At some times of day it is shared with S&D or YC&BC. I watched many times as our bus arrived full to be told another one was coming. This typically happened with buses going to parks with early extra magic hours, or on peak days such as MK on Saturdays.

Hi. I am staying at BCVs next month. Is the transportation still an issue. I do not know if BC and YC hotel are open or closed so not sure if we need to walk to YC to make sure we get a bus since my mom will have a scooter.

As the PP said, YC is open and BC is not. But the bus stop at BC is still being used for BCV guests. It was when I was there two weeks ago anyway.

That's up to you. The busses can accommodate two scooters so I'd say the likelihood of both being taken at YC is slim. Also, even if you went to YC there could be someone riding back from wherever to BC on a scooter and that spot would still be taken.

I just wanted to add that if you were going to access the bus from a different resort the YC would be a better choice IMHO than the BW because it's a much shorter walk.
