we have dinner here at 8:10 should we take bus to TTC or monorail from epcot to poly or cab?

It would be a bus to the MK and then the monorail to the Polynesian. The bus doesn't stop at TTC anymore. I think this would be your best bet.

It would take awhile to walk to the front of Epcot and use a day's park ticket unless you have hoppers or where in Epcot earlier.

A cab would be the quickest, no question. It would be less than 15 bucks.

how long would bus take?we'd leave around 7:30 or so-isn't it about 20 minutes?

For what you are doing I would allow one hour. So if your ADR is for 8:10 I would be at the BC busstop by 7:10. Needing to wait for a bus, get to MK, walk to the monorail, wait for the monorail, and finally get into O'Hana is hingent upon a lot of things, you may luck out and get a bus right away, you may not. And due to the popularity of O'Hana you don't want to be too late or they could give your ADR to someone else! I really like to take a cab, its so much easier and as someone else said, it would be around $15. And then you would need to only allow about a half hour.

Another possiblity would be to take the boat to MGM, then get a bus to the Poly from there. I would allow an hour for that option too.

I was just going to suggest the last one, boat or walk to MGM then take the bus to the Poly. An hour sounds about right.
Wish we did it for our breakfast at the Poly, live and learn :)

Hi I have a (somewhat) related question. We have a 9:20pm reservation at OHANA. Is there any spot nearby that we should be , at say 9pm, when we could see a parade or fireworks or anything happening? Any good spot to see some activity and then be able to rush to our 9:20pm Ohana rez?

Tracy--We went to 'Ohana for about the same time during our last visit. We ended up getting there about 8:50 or so, and they seated us right away. We weren't in the best seats (toward the back), but at 9:00 they dimmed the lights and we were watching Wishes with piped-in music! Try to get there before 9; even if you can't be seated right away, there's a lounge right outside the restaurant with huge windows, so you should be able to see it from there. You can also walk into the restaurant (some people did that when we were there) to see the fireworks before they were seated. You could stay on the beach outside of the ceremonial house and then rush in to be seated; but I think you'd be better off getting in a bit earlier. It's worth a shot.

I also agree with the cab choice! We've never gone via boat to Poly; but we did go MK to monorail to Poly, and it took a LONG time! We were actually running up the ramp to the monorail so we wouldn't miss our ressies! We are going again in August and will definitely go by cab.

In January, DW and I had a race to see which way was faster to get from YC/BC to the Poly. DW and DS9 walked (she probably ran) through Epcotand took the monorailto TTC. DS10 and I took the bus to MK and then the monorail to the Poly. She was there first but only by a couple of seconds (like I said, she ran the whole way). I think either way is fine. Jay
