Beach Club SAB Pool

Have you joined Membership Magic Beyond? You can get the BOGO one time use points and have 24 points for 7-month bookings ready to go. Seven borrowed points seems a lot better to me if you want the view.
Hmm. That is a good thought and, no, I have not done that.

The BOGO points seems to be the number one perk people enjoy. Plus you'll get the early access to lounges, one time Memory Maker, etc. Could be a great option!

If you want to have the one time use points loaded and ready to go for your 7-month window, book a placeholder reservation with Member Services after joining MMB and then immediately cancel it when you get off the phone. The 24 points will be sitting in temporary contracts in your membership and you can book with them online whenever you want once they are freed from the cancelled reservation. Just be mindful of making the placeholder in the correct UY for your trip and making it 31+ days out so you can cancel without them going into holding.

We usually only pay up for view at AUL, but that is partially because BCV doesn’t have the option and partially because we typically prefer to be close to main resort area as we don’t spend much time in the room (minimize extra walking)—I am a point miser for sure, but if I was at BWV and planned to spend at least 30m every day on my balcony (and had enough points, lol) I would absolutely pay another 7-8 points a night for BW view. The sunsets alone over crescent lake would be worth it to me, but especially if you will also be having morning coffee in pleasant outdoor weather.

I will say, one anything thing about MMB that is annoying is that we can't purchase for the 2026 year yet. If we could, I think I would absolutely do it to take advantage of the OTUP deal and the potential to take advantage of the other benefits for my 2026 trips.

That said, I am feeling the draw to the BW view rooms even if I have to do some borrowing to make it happen. Will see I how I feel in a few days when my 7-month window opens up (and assuming everything is still open).

Watching the availability evaporate at Beach Club and on Boardwalk View rooms at 7m is truly something to behold. It’s like a law of nature….

I understand you won't be able to use the lounge access perk much for calendar year 2025, but buying now would let you buy it for your 2025 UY on the 2025 calendar year program and then again with the 2026 UY on the 2026 calendar year program. Plus two Memory Maker certificates which would run $185 (pre-arrival) per trip o_O (if Disney renews it and keeps the benefits the same). That said if you plan on getting an AP with PhotoPass downloads the MM may be moot.

Re-upping this thread. Still targeting BWV of BCV, but now that I'm getting closer and focusing on my overall points usage for next year, and I see that Resort/BW/P&G views are all still available for my planned dates, questioning whether BW view would be worth it over Resort view. For my 4 nights, it would be 31 extra points over Resort view. I was thinking I wanted to splurge, but I also know that my time on the balcony with two young kids is, well, limited. Anyone think BW view is worth it for 31 more points if it is available? I think I'm leaning the point miser route :-).
Might also depend on your plans for the stay. Resort only might be worth it if you'll be in the room more but if you're hitting the parks hard and won't be around much, maybe not. We almost never go for the higher point views and have been happy with what we get (not just BW but in general).

One other thing to consider is if you go with the higher point BW view and love it, it will be much harder to go back to resort view for future trips. If you go with the lower point view, you won't really know what you're missing.

We always try for standard to save the points. Many times we can’t get it and the better view costing more points makes for an awesome consolation prize!

Dec 2025 2023 we wanted standard view. Didn’t work out (even at 11 months) but BW view was open. We lucked out on timing and ended up in a brand new refurbished room! Alot of time was spent out on that balcony too.

When Poly standard wasn’t available we payed the points for lakeview and that was incredible. Looking out at Magic Kingdom. Watching all the lagoon traffic. Lovely every moment 24/7.

We tried to do a lower point trip at AKV one time but by the time we got our act together only Savannah view was left. Totally worth all the excess points.

I go with the flow. Save points when we can, and enjoy the cool views when we cant.

Yeah, we bought APs before our July trip - didn't add MM, but could for our remaining trips if we wanted to. Unless we decide to do an unplanned trip, our next trip isn't until February. So, I think the only benefits of MMB for 2025 would be the OTUP, but, as you point out, could use that for 2 UYs. I think I'm ok borrowing for this particular booking if I go for BW view - may still end up purchasing the OTUPs once they make the 2026 MMB available. I think we will end up planning one more trip next year in June before our APs expire, so can use it for those. I don't think I mind being in the situation of having borrowed and banked points once I go into 2026 UY, as long as it isn't too many.

I think I'm going to ask my wife what she thinks about the two types of views - always a dangerous proposition - if she thinks BW view is worth it, will probably try for it. If she is just meh, which she sometimes unexpectedly is, may just try for resort.

Really appreciate everyone's thoughts.
