We just returned from our trip and the first two days were rought from the get go!

I had reserved a Beach Club nonsmoking room with a roll in shower and toilet rails. We needed two Queens and a day bed and prefered a balcony that would accomodate the wheel chair.

I called a total of 6 times to confirm that all was well, three times to the resort desk itself and three times to Special Services. They even went over the floor plan of the bath room for me to confirm that the sinks were separate from the toilet and shower.

We had a rough arrival due to our party coming in from three different areas of the country and a horrid ice storm in Charlotte that left our kids standed on a runway for 3 1/2 hours!

We we so glad to be headed to our room at check in time!

I opened the door and was greeted by two beds! I got on the phone and it took me almost three hours to get us settled into a situation that would meet all our needs!

SO just to let every one know that the BC does not have wheelchair acessible rooms with roll in showers, that sleep five people! They may repeatedly insist they have them but the do not!

They finally moved us and comped us an ajoining room. It worked but I spent a lot of time running between the two rooms! :earsboy:

Thanks for the warning.

DH and I stayed at YC once and I don't know if we had a regular room or a "daybed" room. It had 2 queen beds and then across from the bed nearest the French door, there was a narrow sort of a seat that was about 5 to 5.5 feet long. If that was the daybed, you would need just the right person to sleep on it.

Yes, that is the daybed, and it won't fit an adult or teen. Do any or the deluxes have a real twin size daybed? The one in the HA king room my inlaws had at AKL didn't have a daybed, but it had a fold-out chair-and-a-half. It was wider than a chair, but opened up to a small bed.

I don't move around much at night, but I would not want to sleep in that. You'd kind of need to sleep in the "mummy" position.

Yep that is the day bed. It does pull our from the wall a bit and I thought it was the size of a twin bed.

Our problem was the first room did not even have that bed!

They really expected five of us to sleep in two queens! :rotfl:

Is the daybed standard size (which to me would be a twin)? My 11 year old will be sleeping on it and I want to make sure he will fit.

I know the Poly has a daybed that is an actual twin bed size. We've stayed at Boardwalk and theirs is like Y/BC- only long enough for a smaller child. When they say those rooms sleep 5, it's not 5 adults or adults with teenagers, that's for sure! ---kathy

I'm so glad someone brought up the Beach Club! I found hidden mickeys in my bed sheets? I was there on the 4th of July when they had fireworks and it sounded like a volcano was errupting! Wow! I love that place! I also love their pool...I kept pouring sand in my brothers hair and we got yelled at by the life gaurd. :guilty: But that pirate ship slide was awesome!!! I must have went down it 200 times (not really).

Although it was quite a few years back, we had a rollin shower room at BC with a daybed. Perhaps the daybed was moved out as it was tight in there or maybe someone else was in that room. It was first floor so no balcony. Also I remember the sinks being in the same room and in fact we haven't had a rollin bathroom at WDW without the sinks being in the same room.
