Does anybody know whether the ground floor rooms at the Beach Club all have patios and if they're private? I'd decided on requesting a ground floor, but my husband has got me doubting now because he seems to think people will be able to walk by, meaning we won't be able to leave our swimming stuff out. Do I need to be requesting a higher room to get that privacy, or are ground floor rooms okay?

When we were last there i could certainly see into rooms around the pool (unless they had the curtains shut obviously)

Cant remember pations being everywhere, but certainly by the pools.

I don't mind people seeing in, I just don't want them to be able to come onto the patio and pinch my bikini. I've only got one. :p

Thanks. That means a ground floor sounds perfect for us!

We had a ground floor room for our last stay at BC and I would request a ground floor room for subsequent trips, it was just so convenient. We had a patio, with chairs, it was surrounded by a small hedge (the hedge wasn't really providing a lot of privacy but it did help), we could sit there and see people walking by but to be honest it might have been a bit of a stretch to think someone was going to scale the hedge to steal anything left there of no real value. We didn't have any trouble anyway.

Our room was pretty close to the entrance of the Marketplace and from our patio we could see Illuminations if we titled our heads round a bit. I love the BC, it's my favourite WDW hotel, sad to not be going there next year but looking forward to experiencing another hotel.

We had a patio room. We were situated close to EPCOT which was brilliant. Although you couldn't see UK Pavillion you could here the band playing :-) but there was a pathway that ran right past our room from Beach Club Villas to the gate near World Showcase. It didn't bother us in the slightest, people occasionally walked past and said hello if we we're sat outside, we left stuff out to dry and didn't loose anything, and if you don't want people looking in, as long as the nets are shut you can't see in. Ground floor is better IMHO as only 50% of BC rooms have full balconies, the rest are Juliette balconies.

I agree with the PP - my understanding is that there are few full balcony rooms at the BC, so a ground floor room would be a great option.

Excellent. I've added just that one request to the online check in, so hopefully we'll get one.

Inlove bc so returning next year. Cant beat the pool and location

With ground floor do you get much noise from people walking past. I suppose some are noisier than others if by a pool. With a baby next year having a good sized balcony would be great as this yer on the 3rd floor the balcony was pretty small!
