Beach Club Review

Just back from my 5night stay at the BC, we had booked a standard view and were upgraded to a waterview (pool view). We had a wonderful time and actually ended up using 3 days of the parks and 3 days of the waterparks. We got the no expiration option so we have days left for our next trip. I didn't plan this prior but we spent our arrival day as well as our departure day lounging around SAB, and one day we spent at Downtown Disney. SAB was actually more beautiful than I expected. The stroll to Epcot was really just 5 minutes. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, I felt like a princess while checking in (They hand out roses at check in) The lobby has a wonderful beachy scent that I wish I could have brought home with me!! Every part of my stay was memorable, I just wish I still was at the BC!!
There are activities each day such as Poolside Bingo, dancing by the pool with the lifeguards, tshirt decorating (I believe there is a $12 fee for this one, Bingo was only $1)
Also, at Poolside Gifts, the plastic boats for the kids were only $1.50, the Finding Nemo beach balls are only $2.50 (they will also blow it up for you for free), The Mickey Mouse kiddie goggles were about $12. I am posting this because I didn't know the prices prior and brought beach toys, However, I WISH I had known how inexpensive they are because it is just easier to purchase the items there.......Any questions, feel free to ask. I do have to say that the negative for us was quite often the Yacht Club was picked up first and than there was only standing room available for BC people. THat really upset me, also going to Blizzard Beach, it was Yacht Club, Beach CLub, and the Swan and Dolphin. It never occured to me that the buses would be sharing with other resorts. It surprised me, It is a busy time now and it was a downer to always be standing on the buses......other than the transportation, everything else was magical.....

glad you had a good time! bc is out favorite resort. i will agree with you on the buses. did you also share with the bwi? i can see the yc/bc sharing but i think s/d should have their own buses as well. i hope disney changes the busing system soon.

I believe to MK it shared with Yacht club, and Boardwalk. I am not sure of the actual routes, but for each park there were multiple pick ups. One time it picked up people at CBR.

Are the pool towels identical to towels in room or different? Larger?

Thx..Think I'll save the luggage space and not pack them?

You use your room key to get a towel at SAB, correct? Can you turn in the wet towel during the day and get a fresh one?

I am almost sure that the towels are larger than the ones in the rooms. You show your room card to get a bracelet and an attendent will hand you however many towels you need. There is a bin to place the dirty towels and you can get as many towels as you need thorough out the day from the towel attendent. The towels are not as big as beach towels though. To be honest, we didn;t really even need to use them very much since it was so hot that by sitting down for just a few minutes we were dry, suits and all!!

The pool towels were fine. Not as big as beach towels but they were fine and you could take as many as you needed and exchange them whenever you wanted to. If you get a kids meal at Hurricane Hannah's, it comes with a bucket and pail. (And you don't have to be a kid to get the kids meal.) So I don't think you need to bring any toys with you. We brought a ton and never used them.

We were at the BCV last week and had the same check-in counter as the Beach Club and they didn't give us roses. But they were very friendly. We really liked it there. We even checked in for our flight and could check in our luggage and get our boarding passes printed out for us. Very convenient. And we weren't even using Magic Express!
