Beach Club renovations?

My husband and I just made reservations for the Beach Club in early February. Does anyone know if there are renovations going on there that might last into February? Is there a way to find out what renovations are scheduled for a particular time period?

I was just there and they were working on the 2nd floor. I know that they are working their way up so the 5th floor (concierge) will be last and I believe it is supposed to be done by the end of Feb. Also I read on this board that people had trouble with being right below some constuction and found it hard to nap or relax in the room during the hours of 9-5, they eventually got a different room. It may help when you make your room request to let them know you would like a quiet room away from any construction because you like to be in your room part of the day (even if you don't). If you are not happy with your room at check in call the front desk and they will most likely change you. Good Luck. By the way we did not see or hear any construction. We were on the 5th floor and had a great time. Have fun

We are just back from BC. Other than the faint smell of paint in the lobby and a few tarps outside I did not see or hear renovations. I was worried about this before we left. We were in room 4622 on the 4th floor just down a bit from the elevators.

My DW and I are just back from BC. We saw a few tarps around SB and noticed that they did some painting around the elevators in the lobby. We were in 5702 and did not hear any rennovations, although we did hear Illuminations!

I wouldnt worry, request a *new* room!

Does anyone know if there will be any renovations to Stormalong Bay in the next few weeks? We will be there from 12/12-15 and are greatly looking forward to using the pool. If there will be any pool renovations at that time, do you know to what extent?
