~ how do the bracelets for Stormalong Bay work? are they given out each day or at check in?
~ are there towels at the pool?
~ is there an area to request that is a better location to the busses / pool , etc?
~ WE have reservations for CApe May- Beaches and Cream doesn't take reservations right?
~ How far is the walk to Epcot?
~ is there a quick service food area for breakfast stuff anywhere?
~ Is there anything else I should know about the resort?

Thanks in advance for any help!

SAB bracelets are daily.Bring your ID to the pool.Yes there are towels by the pool. Beaches and cream does not take ressies.Epcot is a 5-10 min stroll depending on room location. The marketplace has limited breakfast items.

That is correct, Beaches and Cream does not accept reservations. Also, I believe that Epcot is about a 5 min. walk from the Beach Club.

As for the rest of your questions, I'm anxious to see the answers to those as well. We'll be staying at the BC for the first time in Nov. :yay:

They are given out daily upon presentation of your room key.

~ are there towels at the pool?

Yes, towels are provided at the pool daily.

~ is there an area to request that is a better location to the busses / pool , etc?

The buses are down a walkway out the front door. The pool is directly out the back door.

~ WE have reservations for CApe May- Beaches and Cream doesn't take reservations right?

No, B&C does not accept reservations.

~ How far is the walk to Epcot?

7-10 minutes at a slow pace, 3-5 if you walk at a fast pace.

~ is there a quick service food area for breakfast stuff anywhere?

Yes, the "Beach Club Marketplace has a assortment of pastries and juices.

~ Is there anything else I should know about the resort?

Yes, be sure to stop and talk to Art Lark the greeter.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hope this helps.

If you walk over to the Dolphin, they have a cafeteria that is open 24 hours with breakfast (and lunch and dinner). Here is a link to a menu that lists some of the items there (but they carry more than this):

http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_tub.htm

You can also go over to the bakery on the Boardwalk for some breakfast items. But at Beach Club itself, there isn't a lot for breakfast unless you want to do the character breakfast.

We are going to be staying there in about 4 weeks and can't wait. It is a wonderful resort. A few things to know:

-You can rent water craft at the dock at Beach Club.
-You can see the Epcot fireworks from the bridge going over to Boardwalk
-The Boardwalk has entertainers out at night
-Art the Greeter and a famous face to Dis Board members (and fans of Samantha Brown's Great Hotels)
-I've heard there are movies at night by the beach
-I've also heard they offer yoga in the mornings by the beach
-You can walk to mini golf through the Swan (or Dolphin, I can't remember which one).
-The pool has a sand bottom, and there is a beach area by the pool for kids to play in the sand.

You will love the resort!

We were there in December and didn't need bracelets for the pool when we used it. Of course it was pretty chilly that day by Florida standards, lol.

Thanks for all the great responses... I thought of 2 more questions though!
~ what time does the pool (SAB) close at night in August?
~ do they do the campfire / movie every night at the beach?

Thanks again!

I think all of your questions have been covered, so I just wanted to say to have fun at BC! It is our favorite resort. We love being able to easily walk to the Epcot countries every single day/night if we want and experience eating in different countries. Our kids also love the kidcot stations, so it gives DH and I time to enjoy a drink together while we stroll around with the kids from country to country. Also, watching either Illuminations or Fantasmic is awesome when staying at BC because you can just walk back to BC after the shows! No buses, lines, or crowds.

Also can't forget about the boardwalk! We love walking over there and having a burger at Espn Club and renting a surrey bike and riding around the lake -- try this during Illuminations as it's fun to see the fireworks while riding around the lake.

We posted at almost the same time, so I didn't see these questions in time! Hey, we'll be at the BC in August too! Our first time going in the month of August. I read here on the Dis that SAB closes at 10:00 PM during that time frame....

Last year, we were at BC in June and there was a movie on the beach every night. Not sure about August and not sure about the campfire. But I am sure you will love it at BC! Can't imagine not liking it.

last question (I promise! ;) ) If I can find clear inner tubes, can I bring my own? It's not to save $$, but because I wanted the smaller ones that my kids won't fall through!

Thanks!::yes::

Do the inner tubes have to be clear? I just bought one for my nephew and it looks like a tire...

You will have such a great time!!!! BC is just an awesome resort!!! Art is a highlight of staying at BC so be sure to talk to him!! Cape May Cafe is a great breakfast buffet! DD16 thinks she has to eat there every morning!!

It really depends on where your room is as to how long it takes to get to Epcot. Our room was just outside of Epcot (just what I requested:thumbsup2 ) and it only took us about 2 minutes or 3 if we were dragging!!! We could open the glass doors to the room and listen to the music from Epcot!! It was great!

Going to the BW at night is a great way to relax after a big day in the parks or at the waterparks. There are entertainers out on the BW and it is a lot of fun!!!

Have a great stay!!!

I was told before our trip last July and then again by lifeguards when we arrived that inner tubes did need to be clear. However, there have been reports on the boards since that the tubes are not required to be transparent. Maybe someone will chime in that has recently experienced this.

OOH! that sounds like a great room you had! what did you request? should I just say "near Epcot"?
Thanks-:lovestruc

SIL was told last month tubes need to be clear. It is a safety thing. The lifeduards need to see beneath the water and it is hard if there is a multitude of dark colored floats.

I just told them that we wanted the closest room they had to Epcot. It was awesome!!!

We like to leave a few minutes early for Epcot and walk over to the boardwalk bakery. We get something yummy and eat it as we walk to Epcot. We also just enjoy a quiet stroll around the lake at night. It's a great way to walk off dinner and you never know what performers you will see.:)

If anyone finds the clear tubes online would you let me know? Are they a clear color or transparent with a blue, pink etc. color?

You can get to the mini-golf by staying on the sidewalk outside of the Swan. Don't go inside. The walk goes underneath the highway to the golf course.

Walking to Epcot... stay next to the water to avoid the hill as you walk (you will see the hill...stay right). Its shorter and less strain on your legs (they'll need it) for the day.

Cape May food is wonderful, both breakfast and the clam bake buffet. If you don't like fish food, don't worry. The buffet has lots of other non-fish food items!

There is much to do at night at the Boardwalk. (dancing, karoki, piano singing, carnival booths, sidewalk entertainers, fine dining, pizza and dessert snacking, bicycle renting, and more).

We have stayed before and are going back soon.

You will love it! :lovestruc

Cheers
