For those staying in the villas, how inconvenient is it to walk to get refillable mug refills and return to your room?

How can I get a map of the layout of the resort?

Thanks! Approx. 90 days and we will be at the BCV's!!!

Do they even do refillable mugs at BCV?? If so, I'd consider it very inconvenient. With a fridge in every villa, I'm not sure why anyone would *want* to schleppe a mug somewhere to be filled with soda fountain sodas - just buy what you want and keep it in your fridge.

Maps of all the dvc resorts used to be in our member guidebook (I'm assuming they still are) - and may be on the dvcmember website.

We have done the refillable mugs at BCV.

It is a pain to walk from the villas down to refill, but I rarely do that.

We use the refillable mugs down at the pool. Going from memory you can refill them at Beaches & Cream, and the hotel lobby bar in the afternoon. You might also be able to refill at Hurricane Hanna's, but my memory is fuzzy on that. I also remember refilling at the restaurant inside of Beach Club.

It's nice to refill at the pool and we do it frequently. :sunny:

I just got home last night from Beach Club Villas. I was on the elevator and/or saw lots of folks with the refillable mugs going and coming from the villas. I think most of them were using the Marketplace to refill. It is probably the closest to the Villas.

We found them great for the pool. Also, I would stroll down and get my coffee, and get some rolls. I enjoy a morning stroll, so it didn't seem that long to me. I would get a coffee and then soak in the hot tub by the villas. I like them. I also enjoy soda from a machine, rather than a can of coke, so I prefer the mugs.

The walk to the Market Place and back, including the "fill-up", is less than ten minutes.

No self-respecting Beach Club Villa owner would be caught dead with a refillable mug. That's so bourgeois.

Honestly, why would anyone want to fill a dirty little cartoon cup with carbonated swamp-water and syrup in the first place? Just reach into your fridge and pop open a refreshing, one-calorie Tab.

Actually, the walk from the BCV to the Marketplace in the lobby of the BC hotel is pretty short. And I do believe that the Marketplace is technically the closest place to the BCV to refill your mug.

Beach CLub Marketplace was definitely the closest for the villas, and Hurricane Hannas, Beaches & Cream were the easiest at the pool. I used the mug for my coffee and it was a nice walk in the am and convenient to fill up in the evening instead of making it. We had a studio so we didn't keep much food etc... :coffee:

I have to agree with sue on this too, there really is no need to buy and use refillable mugs, in the long run it's cheaper to just buy a case of soda than to buy two, three, or four mugs at what $12.00 each.

We just got back last night and we just bought a 2-ltr bottle of soda and refilled our own glass in the room. Only spent about 2 hours all week at the pool so really didn't need a cup down there.

It was close enough to walk if needed to the Marketplace.
