With all of the repairs complete, are all parts of the pool working? Sinking sands, bubbling pool between slide and sinking sands, whirlpool, etc.
THANKS!

I am not completely sure...however I had heard that all Storm Along Bay repairs/rehab were supposed to be completed by end of April??
Maybe others can confirm this.
I would post this question on the resort board or perhaps a moderator could move it for you.
Hello from one of your neighbors, we live in OP as well!
When are planning on visting WDW again?

We just got back from our first trip "home" to the BCVs, and all appeared to be totally well with Storm Along Bay :) I didn't notice any rehab going on. And the pool was totally all it was cracked up to be. Great time had by all - trip report coming soon!

The pool was back up on Feb 25 (the day we left) and the slide a few days later. However, I was talking to a lifegard and he said that they choose not to opperate the bubble area across from the whirlpoool. This is due to the limited visibility that the bubbles create making it unsafe. He also talked about all the testing the lifeguards go through. They will secretly slip a shadow figure under the water and they have only a few seconds (I think he said 10) to spot it and a few more (I think 20) to retreive it.

On my trip there last May I was told that the "sinking sand" is NO more??

Safety issues..I heard. Anyone know??

Rehab of SAB was complete in March. However, no sinking sands. Several years ago, a lifeguard CM told us it was too difficult and expensive to keep going. They fixed it then but I'm guessing they've decided it's too much trouble to keep it going. And now they have the volleyball and polo games in that area. The sinking sands was always my favorite part. The first time we stayed there shortly after it was built they didn't have the sinking sands area marked and were we surprised when we stepped there and kept sinking. The next time we stayed at the BC a couple of years later, they had a buoy marking the area. Sadly, it hasn't been operational for many years.
