Hi,
We are going to be staying at All star sport for our upcoming trip. On one of the days I would like to go over to Beach club and lay by the pool. Do they have a way to keep track of who is staying there? I just don't want to get kicked out for not staying at that hotel! TIA!

Come on now with all those posts and you don't know the answer? :rotfl: :stir:

No you can't do that at SAB you need a wristband to enter the pool area.

They are very strict at SAB at the Beach Club. Each time we have stayed here and used the pool, each member of our party had to show a room key proving we were staying at the YC/BC/BCV. We were given a wrist band to wear. There was a different color for each day of the week. There were CM's at each entrance who were checking for the wrist bands. So yes, they check, they are very strict, and they will ask you to leave if you should happen to get in, which is unlikely.
By the way, Why would you think it is okay to pay the lower rate to stay at the All Stars, and just wander over to the Beach Club and use the Deluxe pool. :confused3 It is because of people like you that there are such strict rules which need to be enforced. Don't you think that the folks paying the rate to stay at the Deluxe YC/BC/BCV should have comfortable access to the pool they are paying for? If everybody (or even a small fraction thereof) who was staying at a Value Resort could use the Deluxe pools there would not be room for the paying guests of that resort. I simply do not understand why you think this is okay to do!!!

I'm not normally on this board!! I'm just being lazy right now. Sorry! Do you know any nice resort pools that we can go to?

Yes, the pool at the resort you are staying at.

If you want a nicer pool, stay at a nicer resort.

Yikes, normally the people on here are alot more polite and helpful. I was planning on going to beaches and cream for lunch one day(it's one of our favorites). And just thought that maybe we could do a little swimming while we were there. I don't go pool hopping, and we are staying at the GF for the majority of our stay anyways.

We are helpful - we are helping you not get kicked out of SAB that was the concern of your OP.

I'm sure you got the point - but just in case...You are allowed to go swimming at the Resort you are staying. If you are staying at AS Sport that is the pool you use to swim and lay out. Have a wonderful time:wizard:

I'm a little surprised too!

Keira1387,
Try not to get too offended about the remarks...some people here assume because they know everything about Disney that everone does.
I know how you feel about people being polite. The same thing happened to me when I asked about my son (39" high), and if anyone know a good pair of shoes that has thick soles that might get him to 40" for Splash.
I got a few responses but also alot of people telling me how I was a cheater and bad father because I would put him in Nikes with a 1/8 thick sole and not a sandal with a 1/16 inch sole. That I was trying to cheat Disney and it's so wrong.
One person even told me how his life would be endangered becauses of it.
Don't worry about the rudeness.
Enjoy your trip. And the pools at any resort are good, enjoy the one you get.

Thank you so much!

I've been on this dite for a year, and have NEVER been treated that way!!

Glad to hear I'm not alone! It's not like I sit at some at night and think of ways to beat the system. Just figured I might be able to take a quick dip before having lunch! I really don't see what the big deal is with thick shoes! It's not like he was a baby!!

Yes, but pool hopping is a hot topic here on the boards. Even if you eat breakfast, lunch, AND dinner at a resort you are not staying at, that does not give you the priviledge to use the pool. The only way to use a particular pool is to stay there; with the exception of being a DVC member. DVC members have the priviledge of pool hopping, with the exception of SAB (unless they're staying at BCV); otherwise, DVC-ers can't even use that pool. I know I would be angry if I was paying deluxe prices for a resort and people from other less expensive resorts came to swim. Each individual resort's pool is intended for the guests that are paying to stay there, otherwise everybody would be using the deluxe pools but pay the cheaper rates at the value or moderate resorts.

Ditto
Same thing happened to me when I was new and dared to ask the question about putting my extremely small -- newly turned 4 year-old son in the room with us at a a value resort. Which would have made 5 people including my son. I was verbally assaulted by some of these people. One person told me I was breaking the law. I got a warning and everything. I stayed off of here for a while. I got their point and understood what they were saying but I certainly didn't need their judgemental points of view.:furious: I think some people just wait for someone to say the wrong thing and than like to make people feel bad. I think there are certainly more polite ways of saying things sometimes....just my two cents.

FYI...Disney use to let people pool hop. Now they don't. Its no biggie. I hear all of the Value Pools are awesome. My family was there two weeks ago and they said that the pools at ASMu was fantastic.

Hope that makes you feel better.

Hi All

Just a friendly reminder that the OP did get the correct answer to her question, maybe not in the most polite way - but the answer was accurate.

Please remember to stay on topic - if this continues down the path of "I was also treated rudely" posts - it will need to be closed for off topic posts.

Happy Posting...

If you read my post at the top you will see that I say that I am not normally on this board, so I didn't know that it's a hot topic. I'm not a rule breaker, so that's why I came on here to get the information. Trust me, if I knew this would be the response of some of you, I never would have asked!

I was not trying to be nasty, I was only stating that it's a hot topic on here. I don't think my post was in any way mean :confused3. I just stated how I would feel and that using a different pool is not allowed.

Keira1387....just a quick note for you....Beaches and Cream gets very busy. It's sometimes really hard to get into, so plan accordingly. I've tried to eat there 3 times, at various times throughout the day, to no avail. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

So basically it's ok to be "unpolite" but not ok to talk about how unpolite you were treated???

If we start a thread regarding how some Disboard members are quick to be mean and judgemental and who continually treat fellow disers as if they are children who deserve a scolding (for asking a simple question)...will that be ok??? Or would that thread be closed also.

I'm not trying to stir up drama, however, I think it is a real issue on these boards how people are treated when asking a simple question. Some people do have an honest question that certainly doesn't deserve the rude response they get. The question this diser asked was legitimate. Didn't Disney at one time allow people to pool hop? If I am right (which I think I am) what in that question deserves such a harsh response?? A simple "not anymore" would be appropriate. Perhaps those Disers who chose to be so rude with their responses need a warning or some sort note to say lighten up!

In reading her post, it sounds to me like the OP KNOWS what she wants to do is wrong. And that is what gets people upset. When people post asking for way to get around Disney policy.
