A question on Beach Club pool. I have a friend that is going to WDW with her BIL. She is staying at POR and he is a DVC staying at BC. He is telling her that they (5) can come to their pool at BC and swim every night. I told her not to plan on it because she can't pool hop and his room is limited to 4 for a studio and the BIL has 3 in his room already. Is this information still correct that they can't swim at storm along bay (sp?).

Thanks,
Debbie

Sorry, Stormalong Bay is closed to pool hopping. It's true that there are times when the lifeguards don't check passes, but this is not something that members should encourage.

Yes, it's still correct.

No doubt people do sometimes get away with it but it is against the rules, and the Beach Club pool enforces more aggressively than any other resort (because their pool is so popular).

All WDW resort pools (in fact just about any hotel pool anywhere!) are reserved for the use of guests at that particular resort. The only exception I'm aware of is the pool-hopping privileges for DVC members (which does not apply at Beach Club anyway). So it may be within the rules for the DVC member to pool hop to POR.

yes they can go over to POR as long as he is staying on pts at DVC

In truth, while I would not count on being able to hop to SAB..it in all probability depends upon how busy SAB is at the time. It certaily does not hurt to be honest, explain to a lifeguard or whoever is checking ID for SAB that you are staying at BCV and your other family is staying at POR. If SAB isn't crowded or near capacity at the time, they may or may not make an exception on a case by case basis. Just ask nicely, and if they say "no" accept it, don't push the subject, and move on with your vacation. If swim time together is important to you, the DVCer could pool hop to POR (unless pool hopping is not allowed on those dates.)

I sure wouldn't count on being able to swim at SAB. Whenever we have stayed at BCV even in off season, they have checked wrist bands very carefully and turned people away.

You get a wrist band? Is that only at BCV?
