Beach Club pool visitors.

we will be staying at The beach Club with our 2 grand children. My daughter will be staying at The Boardwalk with 2 more grand children. will they be able to visit and swim in the Beach Club pool?

no guest hopping to the big pool SALB at BC

now if you have at least a studio you can add their names to your reservation - so they can. that is if your party is only 2.

if you have 4 and you have a studio - then sorry - no.

FWIW, we just stayed at BCV for 11 days in late January, a generally dead time of year. They still made sure to check both of our room keys every time we went down there, and very thoroughly. So I'm guessing that no, you won't be able to do it.

that seem to happen only during the busy times - the rest of the time they check the resort ID

so who knows?

In that case, I'd add their names to the reservation unless you have dining plan just to get room keys/access to wristbands for SAB.

They gave us wristbands, so yes, I'd assume they give them year-round if they're giving them out in January.

Are you a DVC member staying on a DVC reservation?

First of all, you have to actually be a DVC member (not a renter) to pool hop. Secondly BCV storm along Bay pool is not allowed to be hopped to. So....In that case you would need to add the grandchildren to your reservation if you aren't on the dining plan. Some people have had an issue with adding people to a reservation that already are on a reservation elsewhere. I'm not sure if that would be a problem in this case or not.

We are DVC and own at The Boardwalk. One of the reasons that we bought BWV was being able to use SAB. Once the villas were built at the Beach Club we lost that privilege. I know that you can't pool hop there but did not know if you could have a guest. Thank you for the feedback.

That's right. You can't have guests. Last June when my kids & I were getting our wristbands at the SAB entrance, DS13 realized that he'd left his room key back in the room. The CM had him go back & get it. He was not allowed to enter with me, without his key.

I was actually glad that they were fully enforcing this.

The other option could be for everyone to swim at Boardwalk and save SAB for when it's just those of you staying at BCV.

Sounds like you will still be under occupancy limits at BCV since you can have 8 plus one child under 3 in a 2 bedroom. So you do not need to worry about pool hopping. As a previous poster stated, if you are not doing the dining plan you can just add the other daughter and grandkids to your reservation so they will have key cards and you can all swim worry-free at BCV. If you have the dining plan then you won't be able to have them swim with you unless you want to pay for their dining plan on your BCV reservation. Hope it all works out!

If you are DVC members and everyone wants the dining plan, you could put everyone on your reservation and add the dining plan and just not add the dining plan to their boardwalk reservation.

I think that's a possibility if you don't run into a problem with having a name on two different reservations. You might could just put it all under your address and then their boardwalk under their address.
