I took the poster at her word. The definition of gratuitous is "given or received without cost or obligation; free".

However, I am not exactly sure what the poster meant by "take over the contract". If the contract was financed and the loan not paid off, Disney may not agree to the transfer unless the loan is paid off at closing. I assumed that because it was the BCV, there probably wasn't an outstanding loan. Of course, I could easily be wrong about that.
