Beach Club or AOA with teens

If the pool at AoA is not available for your dates I would not stay there - yes, it might be cold but it is always good to have the option. A room at BC for your dates is $595 per Disney site, personally I would not ask for anything from the parents - maybe souvenir money. If you stay at a mod or S&D you might not even have to ask for money for the ticket.

I think the S&D suggestion is a great one - you are still very close to 2 parks and the price is more like a mod.
For your dates the Swan is $278 (including the resort fee), Dolphin is $262. Disney has Coronado at $261, POFQ at $288. To me location is everything (ok, price is mostly everything followed closely by location ;)).

You will all have a great time no matter where you stay - you will be at Disney! at Christmas!

I missed the part about asking the family for more money. I would just stay at whatever resort you could afford without asking for more money.

Since staying in one room at BC won't work, I would either book two rooms at a moderate or go ahead and stay at AOA. I would not ask the exchange student's family for any money.

12/19/2019-12/27 it is right over 9,000 for the five AOA would be the same for the 6 of us
We're going those same dates, 12/21-12/27. We're staying at Coronado Springs for a really, really great price thanks to a travel agent. But they also have a free dining promo during that time, which might help you out. I'd look into something besides AoA or BC.

I just found out we will have a foreign exchange student with us for our Christmas trip we are booked at Beach Club but we can switch to AOA for the same price that we are paying for at BC currently. My kids have stayed at AOA but not BC they are 17,13 and 11 the student is 16. We stayed at BW last time and loved walking to Epcot. I feel bad to ask for too much money from her family as they already pay so much so I was only asking for the tickets. We will be there 12/19-27 any advice is appreciated
Are you saying there will be 6 people in the room? That won’t work at BC or BW unless you get a villa. AofA can accommodate 6 but with the ages that would be very tight.

As a family of six, I know the challenges in working within the limitations of having that party size. Wilderness Lodge and Board Walk each have a handful of "deluxe rooms" for six, which all are also Club Level. They're around $1700/night at Christmas. For that price, you could get three $600 Cabins at Ft. Wilderness or three family suites at AoA that same week, each of which sleep six. For $100 more per night, you six could stay in two rooms at Caribbean and use the Skyliner direct to DHS and Epcot. I'm sure BC is divine, but there are many other options that are more affordable and still very special, especially with a new person with whom to share all your family's favorite rides, favorite foods, etc. Take the remainder of that $9000 you currently plan to spend on hotel and do all the extras like EMMs or DAH or a dessert party. Or keep that budget and stay in two brand-new Gran Destino tower Club Level rooms. You have more choices than AoA (which I get as perhaps too young for the three teens--but I will note that they have several pools, not just the one being refurbished, so you can still swim there) or BC, which does not house parties of six in one room.

For the same price? 100% BC.

We stayed at BC last Dec with a 15, 13, and 8 year old. We loved it, but the teens were a bit annoyed with the lack of quick service at night. We're trying POP (2 rooms) next month, so we'll see how they teens feel about the quick service there. But we did love the location of BC and the resort itself.
Oh, that is true and a really good point. We recently stayed at YC and we couldn't believe how little any "food court" in the entire area, like any of the resorts on the Boardwalk area. It was super annoying and honestly would make us think twice about booking at any of those resorts again. I just don't understand why they don't get a decent food court area in at least 1 of those resorts.

For the same price? 100% BC.
I had to read what she wrote a few times. She's saying that she is paying x dollars for BC, and switching to AoA would also be x dollars. But she would need to add another room to BC in order to stay there, so 2x dollars for BC.

I agree with these 100%.

i went ahead and booked AOA the pool isn’t down until next year and my kids said they are fine with staying there it will actually be cheaper even with the extra person. Thanks everyone for thoughts I appreciate it
