I've always heard most love beach club. When I saw availability for our Dec trip I snagged us 2 nights. When I look in the map it looks like dvc is way in the back ... And not so great views. Can someone tell me about the dv c section and what you like/dislike?

BCV is my favorite resort on property. Quiet, close to the bus area, the QS and a super quick walk to EP and the Skyliner. It depends on what you consider a good view - we've stayed there twice and once had a woods view and once a view of the quiet pool next to BCV. We enjoyed both.

All DVC villas have a full balcony, compared to the hotel rooms which may only have a Juliette balcony.

The views can be of a wooded area, a quiet pool or the parking lot. Not exactly the best views I had in DVC resorts but there are worse.

The building is separate from the hotel, unlike AKV Jambo, CCV or BWV which are all part of the hotel building and share a common lobby. However, the walk from BCV to BC is relatively short.

Villas do not get refreshed as often as hotel rooms, so you will notice a little more wear and tear.

It’s nice to have the microwave in the villa to heat up leftovers. But that kitchenette takes up living space.

The Murphy bed that was added to the studios is nice to have as an additional sleep surface if you need it. But you sacrifice use of the table when the bed is on use, and they removed a lot of storage space to provide that bed.

Speaking of beds, the sofa bed is not very comfortable. Kids and teens might be fine with it. As an adult, I wouldn’t want to be the one sleeping on it.

While BCV is certainly very nice, I would consider more fun and convenient than magical.

I was lucky once and got one of the 14' studio balconies, that was fun since we were high enough to see partial fireworks to the left and through the trees

We love Beach Club! We have stayed in both the DVC section and the hotel part. We prefer the location of the hotel rooms, but I would stay at any room at Beach Club over almost any other resort. (WL at Christmas is #1 for us, and Beach Club is #1 for summer for us)
The resort location can’t be beat, and with all the Christmas decorations in December I would consider it magical! We have stayed at Beach Club only during the summer because of the pool. Best pool around!

Wonderful to hear. We managed to snag a 1bedroom. I would prefer a pool view as I live in Texas and have a woods view year around. No plans on using the pool in December. Any advice on a room

I would request "view of pool" "high floor". We were on the fourth floor with a pool view last July - I LOVED it! It was so peaceful sitting on the balcony and looking out at the pool and the water.

When our kids were young, we loved Beach Club. The pool cannot be beat.
Now traveling without kids, not as magical. we've found other resorts we enjoy more.
