Beach club info

We were going to stay at POP, but Last time we went to WDW we walked through the beach club and the wife fell in love with it. So I decided to suprise her and stay at the BC. Although I have no info on this resort. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

When are you planning on going? We were there prior to Christmas and absolutely loved it! The gingerbread carousel in the lobby was beautiful. The resort is a short walk to Epcot (our favorite park), and also only about a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to MGM, not to mention Boardwalk and all of the restaurants and excitement there You also have access to SAB (arguably the best pool in the Disney resort system )

We already belonged to DVC when we decided to stay at BCV, and loved it so much that we decided to add on to our DVC there.

You're going to surprise your wife with BC?

You are wonderful!! She will love it!!
Make sure you make an ADR at the resort for breakfast or dinner.

The breakfast is a buffet character meal.
The food was great.
We had a 9:30 ADR for breakfast on Aug. 3.
We arrived about 5 min. early & were seated right away.

We just stayed at BCV July 29-Aug. 4.

One thing I was glad I did before our trip was buy a new beach cover up & matching sandals to go with it. We spent a lot of time by the pool, & so I was wearing my cover up a lot. I noticed at this resort that people tend to "look nicer" than when I've stayed at CBR & POP (oh my gosh, no more POP!). On our "resort days" I just lived in my swim suit & cover up.

What I'm trying to say is...just make sure she has one or two "nicer" things to wear.

Sorry, I don't know about Christmas time...we'll be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge over Christmas.

I'm sure someone can help here.

You will be at the Beach Club almost the same dates as me. I am a first-timer there as well. We are there from 12/7 - 12/14.

I agree 100%....the attire for the Yacht & Beachclub pool is more "Resort" "higher end cruise ship".

I wish I had known beforehand, because I would've packed more "nicer" clothing to wear, rather than just so many shorts & tanks/tees.

Now hopefully the OP can make sure his DW throws some of those things into her suitcase.

This is our favorite area in all of WDW. We love the ability to walk through the International Gateway in Epcot. It is also a decent walk or a boat ride to MGM. We love the themeing and ARt the Greeter is the best, make sure you say hello to him in the Lobby.
There are many great restaurant choices in the area, so be sure that you make your ADR's in advance. We get Park Hoppers and often finish the day with a nice dinner in a WS restaurant at Epcot.
Stormalong Bay is a wonderful pool. Hopefully it will be warm enough for you to relax and swim in early December - you never know.
I am sure your wife will be delighted - there is a huge difference between POP and the BC.

Correct. The walk to Epcot is very short; you'll be there in 5-10 minutes depending on what part of BC your room is.
