Beach Club Help

We have reservations to stay at the Swan 8/13 - 8/20, but we are considering changing it to the Beach Club.

We are assuming that Beach Club offers the refillable cups. Can anyone tell us where they get refilled at?

Also any help in deciding between the two would be appreciated.

They have a food court in the beach club resort that you can fill your mugs with soda.

They have the mugs at all Disney resorts as far as I know.

Also, if you go to:

you can print a map of the BC rooms, it will show you exactly the room #s and where they are located. May help you to choose a view and make a request if you decide on BC.


I like the Swan, but if I had to choose between the BC and Swan, BC wins hands down. Just my opinion.

There isn't a food court at the Beach Club.

You can get refills at Hurricane Hannahs which is the pool side snack bar and at Beaches and Cream at the Carry Out section of the restaurant.

Beaches and Cream is a very small soda shop with sandwiches and limited fare. You stand in line at carry out and the person taking orders will refill your mug when you get to the counter.

We got refillable mugs when we stayed at the YC over Easter vacation a few years ago. The YC/BC was booked solid and I can tell you the lines to refill the mugs were incredibly long because you had to wait in the same line as people who were placing food orders. We really didn't get much use out of the mugs because refilling them became such a hassle.
I wouldn't bother with refillable mugs at that resort because of the refill setup. I guess if you went at a less crowded time of year the system might function better.

I agree with Sarha. The mugs are more trouble than they are worth at the Beach Club. You would be better off just to pick up some soda to keep it in your room and refill them yourself if you want to buy the mugs.

If you take a stroll over to the BW Bakery, they will fill your mugs for 50 cents. I know it kind of defeats the purpose of the value, but it is nice that you can be off the property of BCV and still get a cheaper soda if you want one. Will you rent points for the BCV or not? Renting might save enough money that the value of the mug would be a non-issue! BTW, Poppee1, we have a lot of vacation similarities! I have to agree with hulabird, Beach Club would win my vote too. Especially true if you have kids that would swim at Stormalong Bay, mine loved it there!

Nope, no food court. Hurricane Hannah's at poolside refills your mugs and so does Beaches & Cream takeout line. Also, in the morning, you can refill your mugs at The Riptide Lounge (I believe it's in the lobby) or Ale & Compass (lobby YC).

I filled my mug every morning at Ale & Compass and once usually in the afternoon at Hurricane Hannah's. All in all, I found it worth the money for that. I just bought 1 mug for our family, though, and we shared lemonade poolside as we didn't really drink too much. One mug-full was enough for me and my 2 little boys.

When we stayed in the BCV in August we had no problems getting our mugs re filled. On a morning we would get them filled in the small snack bar in the lobby by the stairs and when we filled them up at Beaches and Cream if there was a line a CM would come out to ask if anyone wanted soda in their mugs and he would take them for you so you didn't have to wait in the ice cream line. Tea and coffee you did yourself anyway so you didn't have to wait.

soccercruiser87 - I think you may have gotten Beach Club and Caribbean Beach Resort mixed up!


We stayed at the BC last Dec., and didn't even buy the refillable mugs, as it was kind of a hassle to get them refilled.
