Beach Club Experts-Room Location Request??

We will be staying for the 1st time this summer at the BCV and I would like to put in a room request. My intial thoughts are 5th floor - pool view, what do you think? We have a dedicated two bedroom with the two queens. I know it is just a request and we have only been successful with requests about 50% of the time.

Room requests aren't that important at BCV, since there are no terrific views. We prefer the "Woodlands" view, which overlooks...trees (and maybe a glimpse of Epcot). Our least favorite locations are the first floor (too many people walking by and looking in) and the pool (noisy in the evening). Anything else is fine.

Thank you, at our home resort AKV, the room requests are very important. You can me miles from lobby and pool. We would love to catch a glimpse of the fireworks from Epcot if possible.

If you want any chance of that - you can't ask for pool view - that's on the wrong side of the building. The official name for the Epcot side is woods view, AFAIK. A high floor would give you a better chance of seeing some of the high fireworks.

Personally, we prefer the villas pool view side - we've stayed there 2x with that view and like it a lot.

The woods view, if it still exists, (many views were changed with the new software), also included the area facing towards the BC on the side of the building opposite the Epcot/tree/road view.

We are BCV owners. I think the best request is "upper floor", because I think all the views improve as you go "up". Several times we ended up with the so-called road view. Which to me is not that bad, you can turn to the side and see the fireworks, if you are up above the trees, up high we never heard road noise. And you can hear the Beatles group that plays in the World showcase, too.

We had the pool view, it was fun taking photos of the kids below in the quiet pool from the balcony.

As everyone says, there are no really great views, so less stress over what you end up with, lol.

Many of the BCV rooms are a distance from the lobby and from SAB. That was one of the things we were really shocked by. Its tucked back from the main resort - the close rooms aren't TOO far from the marketplace, but by the time you walk from SAB to the back of the resort, its a noticable hike.

If what you want is to be close to the lobby and the bus stop, ask for that.

There are only 3 (I believe) dedicated 2BR/2Q on the pool side of the building, with 368 having the best pool view. 302 and 378 are also on the pool side but not with very good pool views. 302 would be closest to the main resort and 378 the farthest but closest to self parking.

There are 2 dedicated 2BR/2Q on the 5th floor 533 and 553, with 533 having the better view of Illuminations.

We are BCV owners and always ask for a woods view close to main elevator on 4th or 5th floor. Nice, quiet, can see some Epcot fireworks.
