We are planning to book at the Beach Club for the first time, (usually stay at OKW) and this trip there will be 5 of us, so we need more than one room, I was thinking of booking two studio rooms (instead of a 2 bedroom) and was wondering if they have adjoining rooms? I know there is no guarantee we will get them, but just wanted to know if they have them.

Also....do all the studio rooms at BC have balconies?

As far as I know there are no connecting studios...across the hall yes, bu connecting no. All do have balconies (or patios on the 1st floor)...small but usable.

Are you able to sit out on the balconies? -- Small, doesn't bother me as long as I can sit out in the morning and have my coffee (a favorite vacation thing of mine) - I heard somewhere that some BC balconies are just a couple inches wide and you can only stand out on them, but not put a chair to sit.

Those standing balconies only are at the BC, not the BCV. The balconies at the BCV have two chairs and a small side table. But they are small and they are crowded, nothing at all like OKW.

If you reserve two studios, they could be on different floors or different hallways or right near each other. But no studio connects to another studio.

Just additional info, there are no connecting studios at any of the DVC resorts. Most studios are part of a 2-B/R lock off arrangement, and the few dedicated studios that exist are due to building configurations, such as at the very end of a building wing.

Good to know about the balconies! Thanks!

Also VERY good to know about booking two studio rooms.

Now, I'm not so sure 2 studio rooms is the way to go, as we really really wouldn't to be on different floors.

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

There will be five of us. 2 adults, my two nieces 8 and 11 years old and my nephew 5 years old. Should we think about a 2 bedroom villa...it seems so big for jsut the 5 of us and we don't spend much time at all in the room...or could the five of us stay in just one studio room? Is there a daybed in a studio...my nephew is small and could easily sleep on a daybed. Or any other thoughts?

Now you've moved onto the occupancy topic, and this will get closed/moved.

You cannot have five in a studio unless one is under 3. DVC will not provide rollaways. MS has been allowing five in a one bedroom, but you'll need to provide an aerobed (or something) and your own bedding. For more discussion, see the very lengthy occupancy thread.

You could stay in a 1 bdrm -- that's what we did. 2adults, 3kids (6,8,12) no problems.

The balconies at BCV vary in size. None are standing room only like some at BC. a few are huge. And even the smallest seem as large to me as the studio balconies at OKW.

At any rate, you'll have plenty of room to enjoy your coffee.

If you are using points, you will be able to book a one bedroom villa. But, except for AKV, they all only sleep four. DVC will allow the fifth person, but they will not provide any additional bedding, towels, etc. You will have to provide them yourself.

But if you are paying Disney directly with cash, they will not allow five in a one bedroom. They will only allow you to book a two bedroom villa.

This is an excellent reason to book a two bedroom villa.
