This is our first time staying in the Epcot area and I am wondering if anyone has insight into which they might prefer.

Our family is me, dh, and dd, age 7.

We have always stayed club level, mostly for coffee, breakfast, and snacks, but that was at GF where it was guaranteed to be convenient to our room.

The club level room has the benefit of snacks, breakfast, etc. but none of them are really that close to the club room based on what I can tell.

The 1 bedroom villa is larger (separated sleeping areas for the snorers from the complainer) and is about $100 per night less expensive.

What other considerations am I missing? We've never stayed in a DVC.

DVC is a timeshare. As such you will not have daily housekeeping, clean towels, or new toiletries.

If you are staying on DVC points (ie a rental) then there is only occasional mousekeeping (every 4th day)

If you are staying via a cash booklet by through Disney, you would get daily mousekeeping.

The DVC wing is more convenient to parking, but farther from the lobby.
With a full kitchen, it’s easy to stock up on snacks and beverages ... and then you don’t have to leave the room ;). The bed in the DVC living room is a queen pull-out couch.

DW and I splurged via a bounce back offer on a Boardwalk 1BR villa once and really enjoyed it. We really enjoyed the extra space, the kitchen, and the washer/dryer. For the savings you note you could stock the room with a lot of snacks. Of course you will have to get up and brew your own coffee in the morning.

For us, the 1BR would be the obvious choice.

We are also a family of 3 and LOVE the 1-bedroom villas (in fact, we will be in one on our upcoming trip in December). My DS10 has always been find on the pull-out and I've joined him some nights as DH snores as well! I love having the washer/dryer (I pack half of what we need and just do laundry during our stay) and the full kitchen where we have room to stock up on snacks and drinks we would like throughout our stay. We also stay CL on occasion, but I typically price out both. For a savings of $100 per night, you can basically buy whatever you would have had in the CL lounge and put it in your full kitchen. BCV is also nicely located near the park buses and the path to EP.

If they are booking through WDW using cash and not through DVC using points, they will have daily housekeeping just as you would if you booked on the resort side.

We have booked a BWV 1bedroom for cash through Disney for the last few years, it's fantastic! We had originally booked a studio and they upgraded us to a 1bd villa and now we can't go back to a regular room.

There is so much space, own laundry machines (we go in June and end up washing clothes every couple days), regular size fridge with microwave and stove.

We have all slept on the pull out couch at one time or another and it's very comfy. Perfect spot for someone to get away from the snorers!

We order from gardengrocer and have all the snacky foods, water, beer, gatorade, breakfast items delivered to the resort. It's much cheaper and great to have some real food options!

Being a DVC member I'm kind of partial to the villa. Given the fact that the villa is 100 less a night I think it's a no-brainer. There is a bit of a walk to the lobby, but isn't all that bad. You do want to watch out for any clunker type views which you can end up with at the BCV building. I think one of the other posters said it, but with a full kitchen available you can go to a local Publix or Super Target and get some snacks and groceries to keep in the room. We usually get some breakfast stuff to avoid having to eat something on property to save a bit of time and $$.

We had a 2 bedroom at OKW, loved having a kitchen, washer and dryer. I think you guys will love the space of a 1 bedroom, I agree with the other commenters that recommended having snacks in your room.
One day we got some ribs to go at AK, we heated them up later in oven, they had marinated for hours before hand in the fridge- they were amazing!
Have fun

We were disappointed in the view from the Villas. We'd go with the club level deluxe. Great view and 2 TV's.

We have stayed in both ...........
The BC deluxe rooms can be hit or miss with the balcony situation if thats important to you. Some have H-U-G-E balconies, and some just have some tiny juliet balconies. We have been lucky and always had the huge ones , with great views. I forget exactly , but there are only 6 deluxe rooms at BC .
We have always stayed in the BC deluxe rooms ...........untill we stayed in the DVC side !
The DVC side 1 bedroom balconies are all about the same, but views differ and not always too good.
The deluxe rooms are huge as far as normal BC rooms go ...........but the DVC 1 bedroom rooms trump them. The layout is better too. It all depends if you need 2 queen beds AND a daybed (deluxe room) , or a king bed and a sofa bed (DVC 1 bedroom) . They both have 2 TV's. DVC side only sleeps 4, but you can bring your own bedding and add a 5th person .
If you are a family of 3 ........definitely choose the 1 bedroom. The adults can have the master bedroom, and the child can have the sofa bed in the living room .

For us ...........we would choose the DVC side (being DVC members helps) . The BC club level is not the greatest as far as Disney club levels go, and pretty far from the deluxe rooms anyway (on different floors, and a walk to the lounge). The DVC side has its own pool and hot tub , plus the rooms are more comfortable, plus a full kitchen. They also have huge bathrooms with soaker tubs and nice walk in showers.

If you decide on the DVC 1 bedroom , try renting points from an owner to get the best cost savings !
