I have heard the daybeds are guaranteed for a family of 5. Is this true? Does it matter if one person in our group of 5 is only going to be 2 years old? Will we still be guaranteed the daybed?

Because our 2 year old will need the daybed to sleep as he is too big for a pack n play.

Parties of 5 are given preference for rooms with a daybed, but it is not guaranteed. If a daybed is not available, they will provide a roll away. With that said, if you are assigned a room without a daybed, you can always ask if one is available. It's not guaranteed as there might not be one available, but it never hurts to ask.

Hmmmm. Okay, thanks! We will consider different deluxe resorts then.
There are still a number of rooms with two queens, or a king and a day bed. These rooms sleep 4 + 1 child under 3. Because your child is under 3, if the rooms that officially sleep 5 (2 queens + day bed, or the queen/chair/day bed room) are needed for w party of 5 without an under 3, they will assign to them because of fire code.

What Mickey Nut said.... All the monorail resorts... CR, GF, and Poly have daybeds. If you have to have a day bed, I'd book one of those! We've stayed at the BC three times, and only received a day bed once.

Not sure if this would work, but if your heart is set on BC, you could always rent a full size standard crib from a third party. Not a portacrib- it's an actual full crib. We did this twice when our daughter was 2- too big for a pack and play but she wasn't in a big girl bed yet. It worked perfectly!

We were there as a party of 6, 3 adults and 3 kids, and we did not get a daybed. However, they did give us a rollaway that folded upright against the wall at night and this worked out just fine.

I would add a room request to your reservation asking for a day bed. This will increase your chances of getting one. But as others mention, they do have roll away cots. You don't have to use the pack and play.
