Beach Club concierge vs. Yacht Club concierge

We were at the Polynesian 2 years ago and really liked it esp. proximity to Magic Kingdom. We will be visiting family in so. Fla. and are thinking of spending 2 nights at WDW in mid. Feb. to go to Epcot and MGM. Can anyone tell me the difference between the YC vs. BC? We are leaning towards the BC because it seems a little more "informal." What is the difference between theis concierge levels and is it worth it? Thank you!

Before my boyfriend fell in love with AKL, I had wanted to stay at either YC or BC... When I phoned CRO and asked them what the difference between the two was, the CM said, color -- one is blue and the other is grey *lol* I'm sure there's more to it than that ...

the Beach Club is more casual, a more "beachy" theme. The Yacht Club is a bit more formal with a nautical decor.
The concierge is the same, they have the same food offereings, and they even share a staff.... you cant go wrong with either.
They have the best cm's at the Y&B concierge!
(I prefer YC, but that's me!!! )

We will be at WDW over Superbowl Sunday. Assuming that they will have the game on, which resort will be better for my dh to watch the game? I don't know how either lounge is set up. I was going to go with the Polynesian concierge, but I thought we would try something new.

Hi Mirlow! I'm a neighbor just to the south of you.

I haven't been in BC Conc. but would not want to watch anything in the YC Conc. Lounge. The TV is child height not that big and stuck over by the food area. After a stay at AKL Conc, I found out what a really nice Conc. lounge was like.

AKL has real couches and easy chairs around a hugh big screen. Then around perimeter, they have tables and chairs. It was really nice and we really enjoyed being in their lounge.

Now, the bar area at YC off of the lobby may have a nice TV. Didn't go in.

I prefer the informality of BC, but I've never taken notice of the Concierge television sets. Some people feel the YC is more masculine and "clubby" because there is so much dark wood, and the BC is lighter, prettier and more feminine.

Wouldn't you want to go to ESPN to watch the Super Bowl, or is that just a ridiculous idea? Not being a sports fan, I haven't the slightest idea. But I did think that as far as football games went, the more crowded, the better!
