Has anyone ever had champagne/dessert delivered to a guest here? We've done it through private dining at GF but YC/BS CM said to call Disney Florist. $55 sound reasonable for Asti? $83 with cheese/chocolate tray?

$55 for an $8 bottle of wine? I wouldn't. For that price you can bring your own bottle of Vueve Cliquel and have a true champagne. Or tuxedo strawberried from room service (must be ordered in advance, can't remember if it's six hours or 24 hours though, sorry)

Anne

Private Dining should definitely be the one to go through for that. WDW Florist is for floral arrangements & gift baskets. That being said, I do agree with Anne, bring your own champagne and let them bring you the strawberries. You can chill it in your refrigerator.

Sort of on topic, do I remember correctly that we can purchase alcohol at the grocery stop made by the towncars? Or in general in Orlando, can we buy alcohol at the supermarkets?

You can also purchase a bottle in Epcot at several of the world showcase locations. My favorite is the Rosa Regala from Italy (it's a sparkling dessert wine)

We're not going to be in Disney when they are. We were looking to pay to have it sent to their room. We called the resort about private dining but they referred me to Disney Florist. I think it's was too expensive too.

Well I'm puzzled about getting private dining through a florist.

How about a gift certificate for room service in their room?

Yes, you can buy alcohol at the supermarkets.

When we were on our honeymoon, Disney sent us a bottle of champagne and some chocolates about 20 minutes after we checked in. My reservations noted that we were on our honeymoon.

My mom also sent us flowers, but I'm not sure who she used.

If your friends are there for a special event, maybe you could alert a CM who could find something special.

Just an idea...

No..not true alcohol. Only wine, beer and champagne is available is most supermarkets.

I think of wine, beer and champagne as alcohol.

For my choices, I do, too. I'll plan on picking up a bottle of champagne when we stop for groceries.

Thank you Webray and Feralpeg!
