Beach Club already sold out?

Hey guys, I had Beach Club booked for the week of 8/25/19 but my in laws say they can join us (my parents are already coming) if we go the week earlier so we started making the changes but Beach Club is completely sold out already it looks like for that week prior. Is that normal? Is there something happening that week that would make such a drastic difference one week earlier? I think Florida schools are already in session regardless of which week we go, I was just very surprised to see it booked up already.

That is what I see for that week as well. It could be a glitch, or more rooms will be released later. I would have them book a room at the Yachtclub as a backup. Then if more Beach Club rooms open up they can switch. If not thats pretty darn close anyway and you can both use Stormalong Bay that way.

We actually booked the Beach Club Villas as it was only like 25$ more a night than the original BC room was, so it may be a blessing in disguise, but it was just so surprising. Plus my parents are not necessarily looking to spend more money haha.

We always book DVC rooms as well. I just prefer them.

I would call customer service just to make sure there aren't anymore open rooms, but DVC rooms do sell out quickly since its a limited allotment that aren't part of the points system. Cant trust the webpage these days though.

Yeah I was on the phone with them anyway because we had to change trip dates and for whatever reason that is like the one thing they wont let you just change on MDE so they checked for me too and did not find any. Oh well. I will keep checking every once in a while but if i end up in the Villas instead, it works for me.

Disney usually sells blocks of rooms to outside agencies and will also hold back inventory for other promos they run throughout the year, especially in August and this is most likely why you are seeing it sold out already on their website.

BCV rooms for that week are available again today. Studios and 1 bedrooms. I think in this case the website was just super glitched yesterday.

We had the same problem booking Beach Club for my inlaws for March 2019. We are rented points at BCV but they didn't want to deal with the no-cancellation policy. On the day the 2019 room rates were released in June 2019, there were zero Beach Club rooms available at all (except club level).

I kept checking almost daily and nothing came up. We ended up booking a BCV studio for them. When the discounts were released in September, I checked for the BC room but there was still nothing available. We were able to apply the discount to our BCV room though and got a great rate.

Yeah I am thinking that it will end up working the same way for us too. Booked BCV and when the AP discounts get announced for those dates I think we will have a pretty good deal.
