Beach at Poly- restricted to Poly guests only?

We are staying at POFQ but are considering a late dinner at Kona and then heading to the beach for viewing the MK fireworks.
Would this be possible or are only Poly guests allowed on the beach?

Hey Neighbor, another NJ person here. In June 2010 we had dinner at O'hanas and then watched the fireworks on the beach at the Poly. We were staying at BLT. We asked our waitress in O'hanas if this would be ok and she said yes.

Anybody can get to the Poly beach. You do not have to be staying there.

The beach is open to the public, meaning you don't have to be a guest to go there and lay in the hammocks, swing on the swings or watch the fireworks.

The Polynesian is a beautiful resort to explore ~ whether you're staying there or not.

The fireworks are awesome from the beach and it's definitely worth doing!

Best place in the world (pun intended) to watch the fireworks.

Only places off limits are the pools at other resorts and going in someone else's room!

Yes, they have Dole Whips in Captain Cook's food court inside the Poly. It's a self serve machine and it's good!
