Beach Access for stroller as a wheelchair?

Question. If we go to a place like clearwater beach, where I heard there is a 10 minute walk to the beach, and our dd may be using a stroller as a wheelchair....don't strollers not work in sand? and is there something you can rent that will get her from the car to the beach that addresses this issue should her arthritis be flaring at this time? She is 50lbs.

It's been over four years since I've been to Clearwater Beach, but I remember they had some kind of chair you can use to get across the sand to the water. I would call their Parks and Recreation Dept. or the Chamber of Commerce to see what kind of facilities are in place.
