Just seen that you are flying from Manchester and they don't use the 747 anymore do there?

The emergancy exit seats are horrid, for one they are smaller and secondly you have to pay extra for them, except for the window seat because of the door box by your feet, and everybody stands in front of you to stretch their legs!!!!

From MAN they still use both the 747 & the new A330, We flew out on the 747 and returned on the A330 last night.

Sorry, totally disagree with the exit seats, we were upgraded to them free on our outbound flight, the last 2 Augusts we have flown Delta biz class, we had more leg room in these exit seats, apart from end of a film cycle or after a meal the area was not used. Would definitely pay £30pp for them again if I could.

The DTD check in is by Cirque De Solei around the back by the car park. You will only see it in the morning for the check in as you will notice the staff. You leave your cases and they are taken to the airport in the vans, that are parked there, for you. The next time you see your cases is when you land. You also receive your boarding passes here too.

Last time we used this service they closed at 1pm.

Thank you Clare for the info. Are we able to keep our cases if we want to and take them with us to the airport? We are staying at a villa and so would prefer to hang on to them? Or do we have to check them in at DTD?

You can hand the suitcases in at the airport if you wish, DTD is just a service offered.

My question is, can we check in at DTD in order to choose our seats and then hand our cases in at the airport later?
