Hi, just a warning, be sure to read everything first and don't take things for granted. Still trying to find out from our TA but our last day was ruined and if I heard have a magical day once more I was going to hit someone. Our TA told us that we would have a $277 credit on our room charge when we checked in. I did not remembee the exact # but when we checked in I asked the CM and was told that we had a $212 credit so I said fine, this meant that our Liberty Tree dinner and our resort mugs were paid for already. The morning we were leaving I notice that this credit is not on the bill but the entire bill is charged to my credit card. i call the front desk but who knows where this call goes because they were not at Riverside and told me to go see the front desk. i go down there and they do not know what I am talking about and tell me that they do not allow room credits and that it is the TA problems. Well after going round in round I find that Disney will be nice as pie to you until you try to get money out of them then thay get mean. Well I have a message out to my TA to find my $$ but she is on a trip this week so I will have to wait. If it does not work out it will put a big cloud over this TA for me.

Our first trip in '99 we changed from UPH to 5 day hoppers. Since we had already paid, we had about a $400 credit when we checked in. So....

I know times may have changed, but that was our experience.

That is what we were to have. We had paid in full and the rates went down so our TA told us she got us a $277 credit on the room, at check in it was there at billing time 5 days later it was not and POR blamed the TA so know I am waiting to here from the TA.

If you talk with someone at the resort you stayed at they give you a special number to call. They will find that credit and make sure you get it.

I don't know how they do it but we received a check for a double billing we didn't catch and Disney sent us a check. So I am sure when they balance the books they will catch it there. But in the meantime call the resort and ask them who you need to talk with about a billing problem. You will get your money.

We always every couple of days request a copy of the bill so we can catch any problems before it goes to the card. When our mistake happened it was the last morning after they had printed the bill.

Since we don't use a TA, I'm not sure how it works but we always get the yellow statement when we make a payment or change something. Do you get these? If so, you should have a record of what has happened. The main thing, obviously, is to be able to document the rate change. If the TA informed you of the rate change, I would hold their feet to the fire.

I guess the lesson for all of us is if we have a credit at check-in to ask for an account printout when we arrive. Good-luck.

I would also recommend at c/i to get a copy of the folio which shows the credit. Evidently it was there at c/i. Always keep a papertrail.

I second this one. The gal at the CR credited my 53 Visa reward dollars to another guests room. I had her print me a copy of the room charges, even though I wasn't checking out that day, to be sure and she handed me room charges for another room and guest with my 53 dollars on it. It took her forever to back it out and apply it to mine.

I wish Disney posted charges/credits on the TV like many hotels do nowadays, that way you can take care of issues as soon as you see it.

They do indeed make mistakes. On my checkout day at AKL I got a paper that said I needed to go to the front desk as there was a problem with my credit card. I was very confused as I had paid for the room months before our stay. When I got to the front desk they told me that it was a mistake and it should have gone to a different guest. It's a big big place and people do mess up.

I have heard back from my TA office, they claim that they do not know why my agent told me that I would have a credit but that the credit had actually been sent to my credit card so now I will go check may credit card to see if it is there, would have made things easier if I had been told this upfront but whatever.

We had a small problem with our room charge card as well, it seems we hit the limit set at check in and at the parks, our charge would not work. My wife had to go back to the resort to add to our limit.
