On Monday, after 4 calls, I was able to get 4 of my 5 nights at YC at the AAA rate. I had already put down a full price deposit, and when I was on the phone, no mention was made of the deposit. Yesterday I had a stack of mail from Disney. In one envelope was notice of the RETURN of my initial deposit. In another was a request in the identical amount that had just been credited. In the third was another, asking for another deposit. I handled it all over the phone this morning, no big deal. But if I had not opened all those envelopes, I would never have known that they hadn't credited my initial deposit to my "new" reservation...if I hadn't opened my mail, my room would have been cancelled next Friday, even though I had already given a deposit. The CM today couldn't figure out why they did what they did, but it was easily taken care of.
Also, FYI, the second 5 nights we're at CR. On the day they took my credit card number, they put it through twice, so I have 2 nights deposit down. No idea why they did it; I'm leaving that in place, but you might want to double check if money is tight.
