Be Sure to Make ADRs!

I was reading where some have been disappointed in the number of TS restaurants they could get into without ADRs. We went in Dec 2005 with my extended family. We only had ADRs for 2 character meals. We were not on the DDP and we had not been to Disney since 2001. Because of past experiences, having no trouble getting into restaurants, it never crossed our minds that it would be so difficult to find somewhere to eat! We ended up eating counter service the entire trip with the exception of the steakhouse at the Contemporary where we were staying, after waiting 1 1/2 hours to get a table.
I will NEVER go back to WDW without ADRs again!!!

I agree... and even then be prepared to wait!

I spoke with people on the free DDP, who didn't make ADRs, or know that you needed to. I felt bad for them, wonder how they faired? I guess they should have been reading the DIS boards!

In the end, rest assured they still had options. I have been asking around the last few days, and as far as I've seen, no one has reported that at 5PM of any evening, they were faced with the prospect of no reservations available to be had at any restaurant in any of the parks, resorts and DTD. While they may not get their preferred choice of restaurants, as far as I know, there are always at least some TS restaurant that has availability at the last minute.
