I just wanted to share my experience with making adr yesterday.First off I had everything planned. Now let me give some background.... I have been waiting and planning like crazy to make these adr.....My son was dignois as a type one diabetic and I was actually in the hospital with him(we already have a daughter with this diease so I knew what I was doing) so I get up and I am calling from the hospital to make these adr I called before 7 and kept getting the message that they were not open yet I got in right at 7 and they had a message that my wait time would be more then 30 minutes:scared1:well I waited and it was about 20 minutes. This is the part were you need to be prepared they asked my for my reservation number. Welll I didn't have it with me so I called my husband on another phone and he couldn't find it.While he was searching for it I try to explain my situation but they said they couldn't do anything about it so I asked to speak to a manger and he got on the line talk for about 3 seconds and disconnect. So I had to start the whole process over:eek:. I ended up not calling until around 8 and I did get almost every one that I wanted. They were very nice. I just thought I would share my experience.

Thanks for the heads up! I make my ADR's on Monday, and I would not have known to have that handy. This will be a big help.

They can pull your reservation from other information. A couple of weeks ago my wife asked about changing our plans by one day. This was after ADRs and everything else had been completed. I dutifully called, but I was at work and didn't have all of our information. The CM was able to pull my information from my address and phone number.

I think it could be because I booked through AAA. Once I called with my confirmation # it was fine.

Yes, i think you are right. If you had booked thru disney, they can use your phone #. Thanks for the heads up though! I have to call on mothers day at 7am..... no sleeping in for me :sad2:

What if you are staying off site, can you not make an ADR?

I appreciate your info, my 90 days out date is coming up in a couple of weeks, I am a nervous wreck about it. First time FD newbie here...:)

Oh yes, note to OP, I'm sorry about your DS.

Yes you can make adrs. BUT you have to call back each and every day for adrs for your whole trip. You can't make them all for up to 10 days like on site guests can

What I don't understand is if you can make your ADRs 90 days out whether or not you are staying onsite, why did this CM ask for the reservation number and when the OP couldn't provide it, said they couldn't do anything? And yes, they should have been able to pull OP's information even without it.

I called yesterday mid-afternoon. About 2:00 or 3:00 CST. I did *not* have my reservation number handy at first, but they were able to look it up. I was connected with someone to make my reservations within about 2 minutes (really no wait time at all), and the process was very smooth. My only criticism is that they could only search for exact days/times. Overall, I had the perfect experience to your terrible one. I'm sorry yours was so bad. :(

I had no trouble with the ADR's, I was even able to book lunch at Cinderella's Castle more than 90 days out(93 days out).

I also called this past week while driving home from work to reserve a table at Sanaa, and didnt need my confirmation #, they just took my name, address, home phone, etc. Rservation was made within 10 minutes of dialing the number.

Please forgive me if this is posted somewhere else, but if I want to make ADRs 90 days out, we are checking in on 9/15-9/25 and I call on June 15th will I be able to make ressies for all 11 days? :confused3

Technically...your 90 day call in day for making ADR's is June 17th,2009. You will be able to make ADR's for up to 10 days of your stay. You will have to call back the next day to make ADR's for day number 11.(If you are lucky you might get a CM who will let you book all 11 days but they are not supposed to.);)

I don't understand something, you are asking about making ADRs if your not staying onsite but say your a FD newbie? You have to be staying onsite to get FD.

If you are making 90 plus 10 ADRs you must be staying at a Disney resort. (This means calling at exactly 90 days from your check-in date and making reservations for that day and the next 9 days.) You can't do that without providing a reservation number, because Disney Dining has to verify that you are staying onsite.

If you're just making regular 90 day ADRS you should not need a reservation number at all. Some of the posts on the boards, though, seem to indicate that if you are staying onsite they will STILL want your reservation number, even if you are making your ADRs less than 90 days from the check-in date. This is because the new system apparently somehow links your room reservation and your dining reservations. If you are not staying onsite, there's nothing to link, so they will not ask for a room reservation.

I don't know if, when you tell the agent you are staying onsite and then cannot provide a room reservation number for an ADR inside of 90 days, that will mean that Disney Dining will not book ADRs for you unless you call back with the reservation number. Some posts seem to indicate that is the case, but it isn't clear whether the posters were calling for 90 + 10 or were calling well within their 90 days.

The previous poster is asking if offsite guests can make ADRS but isn't saying that they themselves are staying offsite - no doubt out of curiosity.

If you booked your room reservation through a travel agent they may not be able to pull it up with your personal information - either have the confirmation number handy or have the travel agent do the calling.

One more ADR question, my sister's family and my family are both going but have separate reservations--is there a way to make sure we can both get reservations, or do I just make reservations for the 6 of us? Thanks!

:) Ellyn

We are staying offsite. Do I understand correctly that I will need to call everyday at the 90 mark to make a reservation? Also, is it 90 days out for CRT or 180 days? Just want to be sure that I'm doing it correctly. Thanks.

I will be calling in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the tip! Hope your DS is feeling better!

Yes to your first question - you have to call at the 90 day mark for each day if you are not staying in a Disney-owned hotel. So for example, if you're wanting dining reservations for 9/1-9/3, then for your first reservation on 9/1 you will call at the 90 day mark which is 6/3. Then for 9/2 you will have to call on 6/4; call on 6/5 for 9/3 and so on.

If you're very flexible with your dining plans, you can wait until it's 90 days out from your latest day, and call then for all your previous days too. So in the example above, you could wait until 6/5 and get reservations for 9/1-9/3.
Clear as mud, right?;)

Your 2nd question is also yes -- it's 90 days for CRT now. They cut out the 180 days for dining reservations, even the special ones like CRT. They're all 90 days not.
