Hello. We are traveling to WDW in Sept. Just booked 99 days out and ADRs are all gone for Be Our Guest. We were interested in either doing lunch or dinner on one of the two days we'd be in MK (Wed 9/7 & Mon 9/12). Do you think it's worth it to try for walk in this time of year? If so, what time(s) of day would you estimate would be the best chance of a shorter wait time?
Just some background info. This would be my 12th time visiting WDW but first time since they've built new Fantasyland. It would only be my hubby's 2nd time ever to MK. We are taking our 2yo daughter (1st time to WDW).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help!

I would keep searching for smaller tables for lunch - 1 or 2's. Even if the reservations are a few minutes apart, you pick your own tables, so you can sit together.

If that doesn't work, it doesn't hurt to try a walk-up. We were able to add someone to our dinner reservation that night on our last trip.

Just keep checking for ADRs, they open up all the time.

I'd keep looking for an ADR. People cancel a lot. I even found some availability within a week of our trip last November. As far as walk ups, I don't have any advice about that. Sorry. Good luck, though, I hope you can get an ADR

Thanks for the suggestions!
If I did find an ADR avail for a party of 1 or 2, do you think they'd give me a hard time not having my 2yr old not on the reservation?

@Blueringtail2 Your 2 yr old needs to be included on the reservation for capacity and fire regs. If you aim for a lunch, you can split your party into separate parties and still sit together as it's counter service. Keep trying to see if you can find one that fits your needs and good luck.

I would just keep checking. I am going to be at the MK the same day (the 7th of Sept). We didn't book until about 3 weeks ago. At first I found nothing, then eventually I got an early lunch reservation. I kept looking though (like a few times a day when I would think about it) and now I have a pre park open BF. I have been looking for a party of 5. I bet if you keep checking something will pop up.

If you can't get an ADR, it doesn't hurt to check at the podium day of. DH and I got a walk up reservation that same week in 2013. We walked up to the podium around 11am just to check, and they ended up having a 430 reservation for us.

I booked less than 90 days out and got 3 BOG ADR's in the first week I tried, cancelled one last night because we were waiting on a 1 day earlier possible check-in, so I would keep trying for a reservation. You have to keep refreshing many times during each day, but usually something opens up. I got 7:30, 8:30 and 6:40, so it can be done. There were also a 4:30 and 4:45 one day when I checked.

This far out I would not even look for an ADR for 1 or 2. I would keep looking for one for 3 (or even 4 as even numbers are sometimes easier to find). Keep checking for an ADR and I am sure you will find one before your trip. If you do try a walk up - go early.

For breakfast/lunch you can literally have individual reservations for each person in your party, you seat yourself so it doesn't matter at all as long as they're close in time together

We had a party of seven split into four reservations within 25 minutes of each other for lunch, worked out perfectly fine

When we went in November they were not allowing walk-ups for dinner. We went again in April and they were taking walk ups for lunch (we were there around 11:00). I got our reservations just a few weeks before each trip, but I wanted to add that they were taking walk-ups in April. I was surprised!

We went last July. I was able to find a 1:30 lunch reservation at about 12 for the same day while I was waiting in line. I just kept checking the app while waiting in line.

While searching for a same day earlier dinner ADR this past April, surprisingly saw cancellations approximately 30 mins prior. Keep checking!

Do they allow you to at least peek at the restaurant if you aren't dining there? Also not having luck for September. I know I've still got time, but I've literally only seen it pop up twice, for 9pm+ times.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. My MK time is too valuable to spend waiting around to maybe get into a restaurant. I'd keep checking for cancellations each day until your trip, and especially the night before your MK days. People can and do cancel their ADR's until midnight the night before. Don't keep yourself up late, though. Remember that it's your vacation. Also, use the Touring Plans reservation finder service, & try to book the instant you get a text from them.

I went to Guest Services and got same day tables. And why can we book dining 180 days in advance anyway?
