Be Our Guest - Roast Beef Sandwich Now Cold?

I saw a recent post where someone said they thought the roast beef sandwich served at lunch at BOG was now cold instead of warm. Is that the case? I don't think I would like it near as much and might convince me to go elsewhere for lunch (since getting reservations at BOG and the line for lunch can be a big hassle). Thanks!

I saw a review saying the same thing and I'll be really disappointed if that's how they're doing them now.

Hubby had it over Thanksgiving and cold - as was the turkey sandwich as well. But I dont remember either being served warm before.

Yes, I read reviews before going in December, but I honestly thought they were mistaken. Then when I ordered it and asked a question about the bread the CM told me that it wasn't warmed anymore. And she was right. It really did make a significant difference too.

They also changed the quiche dish they used to serve at lunch. No longer is it served in a pastry pie shell. It wasn't very good at all. While this was once my favorite quick service lunch in MK, I think they don't have much on the menu anymore that appeals to me. Other than the French Onion Soup....but it's hard to get full on just that.

As popular as this restaurant is, I wonder what compelled them to make these changes to the menu items? Is this a money-saving move?

The seafood used to be served in a puff pastry too, and that stopped as well and is now served with noodles. Which I happened to also like so I didn't complain. =)

I assume there's some cost-saving (and perhaps they can serve the sandwiches faster) associated with the sandwich changes - doesn't make much sense otherwise. After reading these comments I'll be skipping Be Our Guest lunch this next trip, which is fine since I won't have to worry about trying to make an ADR.

I went in April 2016 and my roast beef sandwhich was served warm and was amazing! But when going back in November 2016 the sandwhich was served cold and tasted just okay. I thought it was just a mistake but it looks like this is the new way it will be served. :(

When we went in 2015 it was warm and I really enjoyed it.

I haven't been since 15' when it was warm. If it's served cold, I will skip BOG from now on. Cold roast beef sandwich? Gross.

I had loved the warm roast beef and was so disappointed when it was served cold in November. DH still really liked it, it I changed to the turke sandwich for our next lunch there.

Just read the description on Disney's BOG lunch menu and it says that the roast beef sandwich is now served with horseradish bleu cheese cream sauce?? Seriously...what is that?! Gross. I'm so mad lol. :crazy2::crazy2:

"Cold" roast beef with cold turkey in the background from the fall.

Taste was just ok. Dry and bready even with the horseradish bleu cheese cream sauce (IMO). Soup was great like dinner tho!

Any updates on this? Are other people getting a cold roast beef sandwich? Is the sauce different? It wasn/t blue cheese horseradish sauce before was it?

1) The "sauce" is more like Arby's Horsey Sauce than true horseradish sauce.
2) It is weak, and has not got "the bite" that horseradish sauce should exhibit.
. . . doesn't smell like horseradish
. . . doesn't sting the tongue
. . . doesn't create sweat beads on your forehead
. . . doesn't clear the sinuses
3) Roast Beef should not be treated this way
